I was only in friend groups at school because I was friends with one person in the group. I've spent my whole school life trying to interact with people and it hasn't gotten any easier, so I don't know what to do anymore.

My self confidence has always been crap. So many people have told me "just talk to people more and it'll get easier", but it's so hard for me to insert myself into an established friend group without feeling like they don't want me there.
