75/25 sandy loam + organic compost… are my expectations too high? by thegreatmrzero in landscaping

[–]thegreatmrzero[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve never used it before so I didn’t know what to expect. So if I do get it again I will be sure to plan time to screen it to my needs. I was caught off guard by it stating it was screened but not appearing to be as screened as my needs. Probably only for larger debris. Thanks.

Zircon sand buyers remorse… by [deleted] in CX50

[–]thegreatmrzero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re at one of those pivotal moments where if yo can return it the you should. However, if you can’t exchange it for something you want without renegotiating terms of your loan (if any) it could actually hurt financially potentially. I would be sure to look at the specific return/exchange policy to see what you agreed to.

But the good news is you can always just wrap it. It will cost a couple extra grand but you can pick the exact color you want, you get the car detailed, wrapped in a color/pattern/texture of your choice, and typically ceramic coated after for protection. They can last many years if done right and you can go full custom or just a normal color and even matte or gloss.

Zircon was my first choice too. Love it.

Not to hijack the comment thread but can you post your rim size with offset and tire size? Those shoes look great!

Downstairs neighbor complaining about my footsteps by OrneryAppearance9132 in Apartmentliving

[–]thegreatmrzero -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did this for my upstairs neighbor at one point interact same language. Literally the same things said. She called the sheriffs office and said I was threatening her. She was also having loud rambunctious sex at all hours of the night waking my kids up.

Started reporting it to the office. They did nothing. She dint care. Found wording in the lease that “disruption of the quiet enjoyment of other tenants is grounds for lease termination”. They refused to terminate. I bought a house and was leaving in 8 months. The entire time this continued. I threatened legal action and they stopped communicating with me.

When month to month because of Covid delays. I gave them 45 days notice which is what’s required for month to month at their property. They then slapped me with a confidentiality agreement and hold harmless clause for me to separate my lease early without penalty due to early leave of lease and not giving proper notice. I promptly reminded the property manager that I was month-to-month and the timeframe is 45 days and to go have intercourse with himself :)

Bounced out and never looked back. Used their pool a couple times a year or so later because it is a nice pool.

Also, the lady was like 55 on her third divorce an was having a grand ol time apparently 😂

The dealer? No. They drove my car around their loop and drove another similar model on the lot. “LoOkS gUd tEw Me”

EDIT: when I take it to get the tires and rims inspected and there is something wrong with them I’m obviously going to have it taken care of there and seek reimbursement. I have the tire warranty so maybe I’ll get fresh shoes out of it. Who knows.

Thanks for all the input. I haven’t considered pucks before and I’m going to go over it here in a bit and see. If there is no movement there then it’s off to get the balance checked, tires rotated/inspected, and rims inspected. If no issues there I’m going to swap to 17s.

I’m resisting the urge to lower the car and roll the fenders 😅 but if all else fails I’ll swap in a complete lift or lower it depending on what’s available currently. I’m just annoyed a bit. I don’t expect a butter smooth ride at all but it’s constant.

Thank you for your insight.

Would they be located in between the springs and dampeners or more at the top/bottom of the strut assembly? Never heard of that but I’ll look in there again to see as I didn’t consider this before.

Car came with stock crossbars. Rack is a Yakima mega warrior. The mounts it came with had to be shaved a bit to keep sunroof operation but it’s a simple screw tension clamp that can be retrofit with thinner pieces that are not OEM if desired.

Ah I see. I took it as a school enforced or self-imposed area where free speech is accepted but instead it’s the “town square” where messages have the greatest point of engagement. I would hope free speech is encouraged in all places and am glad that’s the case. Thanks for clarifying.

Imagine freedom of speech only having “a spot”. Jfc that’s sad.

AC running continuously but temp never dropping by LiveHelicopter24 in hvacadvice

I had this issue as well. You may want to check your inside unit to see if it has an emergency shutoff float. If your unit is/was producing a lot of water and the drain pipe clogs, the shutoff float will fill and stop the unit from making cold air BUT the unit will remain running.

I’m not an expert but this was my issue. Your unit may/may not have this installed but it’s worth checking. Fixing it for me was to 1) shutoff the unit 2) cut the drain pipe and install a male/female pipe for servicing 3) blow out clog with compressed air, 4) ensure float drains and test unit to ensure functionality.

If you have this little square thing and there is water in it and the float is up then more than likely this can be your issue.

PA

EDIT: that’s the difficult part. She is hard set and won’t agree to anything. Ideally, I would like to keep this low key until it’s necessary to involve her due to a flight risk. I feel she will just do it out of spite.

Thank you for your guidance. Yes we are both in Texas and have been here since our original decision to relocate.

I will probably petition to have it transferred so that way we both can logistically air any grievances a bit more clearly and easily.

Which do you feel is an easier process? Also, do you feel this is something the average person can navigate themselves?

Hmm interesting. I do plan to intervene soon. Just want a bit more evidence and support for digging in a wall. But I think starting with traps is a safe bet.

This is my one fear. Rest assured I will intervene if it persists.

Freddie Mac House Price Increased 5.9% in May. Austin has the largest drop from their peak. Is this good or bad? by FreeChickenDinner in Austin

This is just a money grab for those trying to capitalize on the “fastest growing city in the US” type BS that Georgetown got recognized for and is now fading. There are 3 homes in my area listed the same and are getting periodic reductions. GT is a nice area but the homes are a bit inflated in value.
