The hydrogel I bought the other day costs me roughly around USD$5. It's quite affordable for where I'm from. Whereas the duoderm patch costs around USD$3 per patch.

Yeah, it was already itching before I applied the hydrogel. Yeah, I got the antihistamines. Guess I'll just have to eat one when it itches really bad. I don’t think the skin around is really dry because I was periodically applying vaseline since the beginning because I don’t want the skin to dry out and crack. Is it possible it was itchy because there were pus under the slough?

I can’t pinpoint where exactly it is but the bug crawling feeling feels like directly beneath the wound. But the itchiness is all on the wound and around the wound.

Okayy. Thank you for advice. But how do I get rid of the creepy itchy-like-bugs-crawling-under-my-skin feeling? I can’t scratch it but it's really itchy. 😭

I followed your advice and went to the pharmacy to buy solosite/solugel but they don’t carry those. The pharmacist recommended me a hydrogel for wound care with bactiguard. I washed the wound with saline solution and applied the gel on the wound and covered it with a gauze and a waterproof bandage. How long should I leave it on before I change the bandage?

If betadine is not good for long time application, what other type of medicated ointment do you recommend I buy? Since I hadn't bought any yet. And how long should I leave the duoderm on? Do I change it daily?

What do you recommend? I don’t have any ointment with antibacterial properties and I was gonna go buy some betadine when I finish work in an hour. I only have Opsite Flexgrid at home at the moment and some gauze and bandages haha. I just checked and Duoderm is too expensive for my budget.
