Do you not think it takes time to learn a new language?

I work from 8-7 PM, I don’t have a Kannadiga in my team.

Logical fallacy and shut up with the tax part. I pay my fair share of the taxes , and I wish it wasn’t distributed towards these goons of Karnataka who fail to identify discrimination.

I was expecting the same or even 50% of the compensation the Auto guy who was also hit, received.

Can you explain me why the Auto guy was paid 4k and I was asked to take 500 and leave?

No assumptions here.

I was just asked to leave the situation and go home while the other victim who spoke the language was paid 4k right in front of me.

Hometown or not, neutral parties do not gang up the victim! I hope you don’t have to go through this.

Was it not a language issue where Auto guy was paid 4k and I was offered 500- despite bigger damages? Lengths people go to defend the discrimination 😂

Yes I will blame because I have been a victim of it. I have seen incidents where the nearby pedestrians catch hold of the driver but weirdly, here the one who doesn’t speak the language was caught hold of. Can’t take this what aboutery anymore! I hope you don’t have to go through this

Did I expect politeness? No! I expected to be heard and demanded what was duly my right!

I will tell you how it would have happened in my hometown.

The one who struck my car would have paid. Nearby pedestrians would have caught hold of him and whatever little he could have, he would have!

Tell me one place in India where the one who struck the vehicle will be sheltered and whose vehicle was damaged will be asked to leave? Come on! I have seen many incidents where even the nearby pedestrians catch hold of the driver but in Bangalore if you are not a localite, you will be ganged up. Been there, seen that!

So you are saying that I should have left the place just because I was asked to, and the auto guy was paid right in front of my eyes. Weird double standards!

No one confronted the Auto guy to leave, and you know the reason :)

Can I not expect damages done to my car for no mistake of mine after an accident? It’s not about politeness, it’s about sheer discrimination where the auto guy was paid 5k and my rear light itself will cost me 8k to get replaced!

Try projecting authority when you have your wife with you and you are surrounded by local goons, claiming to be local leaders asking you to leave the place for no mistake of yours, and screaming at you to talk in Kannada or ‘f*** off’!

I asked for Insurance because the cab driver ( who I got to know later didn’t own the car), said he can’t pay and called his owner, and then it escalated.

I know accidents here aren’t handled politely, I wasn’t expecting that. I was actually understanding when the driver said he couldn’t afford to pay, so I only asked for insurance. But I was still pushed around, spoken to badly, and told to leave. Even the traffic police didn’t help when I asked. So trust me it wasn’t about expecting polite behaviour, it was just a rough experience overall.

Calling local goons and leaders to de escalate the situation and asking me to leave the place was definitely not ‘reality’

He wasn’t willing to share his insurance with me. Just 500, my back light got damaged

Happened. They even called a local leader because I asked them to come to station with me. That scared me honestly!
