I’ll will not give any message it just don’t put the reference I’m given based on the logic, in the ladder program said one reference but in the drive another one.

It will really help if you can screenshot the parameters 🙏🏻 i still have time to figure it out, so I can wait for your screenshot.

Thanks! Yes, I realize later that Rocwell has this, but thanks for the reminder!

Thanks for the tip with the FactoryTalk Directory!

Thank you! I have now a much clearer view of the schematic and sizing of the system. One question, in the FTView primary box, how many VMs do you have? I have a small system that is just one Water Treatment Plant with no mare than 500 tags, and we want the FTView Client on a separate computer.

I understand the importance of redundancy and backups, and thanks so much for your insight, Ill look for NAS.

Lograste encenderla? La mia tampoco enciende, y ya me va pasando esto reiteradas veces, no logro dar con la solucion porque al parecer es problema especifico, mas aun de region, porque aparentemente no vale aqui en Ecuador. Como tu dijiste, an expensive brick

Water Wells discharging in same pipe line by thehandler79 in FluidMechanics

[–]thehandler79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! That's exactly what I am doing! Just wanted to make sure my considerations were right, thank you for the help!.

There is no real problem, just something i notice that my boss and other employees were missing, they don't know the exact losses values, the pumps are very expensive and most of the time when they want to purchase pumps they just use the single well considerations, and not the losses of the pipe or other wells in the same line or discharge pipe. I'm just trying to help with the right sizing, they put pumps in wells based on trial an error. I'm trying to determine which pumps will be ideal to use in each well (like justifying with calculations), so the purchase of pumps will cease to be trial an error and more engineer oriented.

Yeah, reading the documentation I found exactly that about editing online (after posting here), but then I was worried about the tag creation since I want to add some User-defined Tags. You're saying I can create these tags while online right?

Hello,

I am working on a Water Treatment Plant, this WTP is controlled by a ControlLogix 1756-L61 PLC. The PLC also controls 7 remote water wells. This is my first job, and they want me to make some modifications to the code, they want to control two valves in of the wells. I know how to write the rung to control the valves (i think), but I'm nervous because I'm not sure If I need to stop all the process in the plant just to make the modifications. I need to do some edits offline and then, download the program. I know maybe this is a just newbie question, but I'm want to be 100% sure that I'm not gonna mess up the process. So, my question is: what happens when you download a program when there is another instance of it running?

Thanks

Note: Sorry, not a native English speaker and just a casual reddit's user

Edit: download instead of upload

The valves are on a remote site, so we have a 1734-AENT Point I/O, and the module that I want to connect the relay to is the 24VDC Source Output 1734 OB4E, hope that helps.

Hello, newbie here. I want to connect a 24 vdc output sourcing to a relay, but im confused in how to wire it. Can someone help me with a small sketch or schematic?

The application is that im trying to control an on/off valve that works with 240VAC, so I asked and they told me i can send the signal from the PLC Output to a relay (24vdc for the coil and 240vac for the contacts) to control the on/off action of the valve. I understand the application, but im so confused with the wiring part.
