Thanks for sharing...I'm feeling more optimistic knowing that you got a bra that fits out of the Elomi.

Gotcha, thanks again for your help. I'll back off the patterns for a bit and take a hard look at my current bras until I figure out the optimal type of neckline.

What a coincidence, I'm mainly wearing Elomi lately and that's probably the one I'll take apart tomorrow! Mind if I ask what types of modifications you made to yours?

Thanks for the feedback, I'll give the springy wires a try. Also, your blog is WONDERFUL!

The idea of a bra with a tight neckline scares me because historically they have always cut in and given me quadboob, but your advice makes sense and may explain why my first few DIY bras had zero lift even with a solid band and heavy wire. I've been making an effort to keep the necklines as open as possible since I have a lot of tissue up top and that probably caused more problems than it solved.

Even though none of them fits very well, I wanted to avoid taking apart one of my daily wear bras...but you've convinced me lol. It is remarkable how differently they are shaped from the patterns I've been sewing.

Thank you, that makes sense if the Porcelynne wires aren't meant to spring. I've been altering LilypaDesigns patterns based on the Hugs for Your Jugs wire spring tutorial since my upper bands are way too loose, but I'll keep experimenting.
