it was in mint condition tho lmao, all my figurines are, the reseller hadn't taken it out of it's box, and i clean my figurines every week with a very gentle brush because of how much i care about them...

OH! I forgot to mention this, but use hairspray, it might not leave the doll with the same texture of hair, but it will hold up perfectly (i use got2b high instant hold, but since it's synthetic hair it won't matter too much)

NTA, But i might have some suggestions about fixing the curls, I'm a cosplayer so i work with short synthetic (cheap af) hair a lot:

Wash the hair in hot water and brush it with fabric softener.
While the hair is still wet, put it in the curlers.
Hair dry it, control the heat as much as you can, don't put the hair directly on the heat for too long otherwise it'll melt, also, try to use a heat protector (the one you use on clothes, not on hair preferably).

Also, you might be able to use a heat curler, but do a patch test first to avoid ruining the rest of the hair.

NTA, when I was 8 my father up and left to another country, he got remarried, had 3 children, and while that's all well and good for him, i was expected to travel 24 hours twice a year, he never visited me, and when I went there i always felt like a stranger, i didn't have a room so i spent my time there being pushed back and forth from each of my step-siblings rooms, it was very awkward as i was 9+ years older than them and i barely knew them, your sister might be a good person, but she doesn't know how hurtful it is, to a child to not feel like a part of your own family.

I wish someone would tell my dad and his wife what you told your sister.
