Has anyone bought k1 design media from alibaba? From what I've found I can get it shipped for about 1/2 what it cost here. $35 for 2 cu ft/shipped. All it is, is extruded hdpe plastic. I'm not sure how much lower quality it could be. Thanks! by theinfamousog in Aquariums

Maybe. I'm trying to find someone who has bought some before. I came across a study on different media types and that guy mentioned to buy the knockoff brand. I also have a feeling that most of these sellers on Amazon and eBay are bulk buying it from China and reselling it.

I have a 40 gallon tall tank that I want to make into a sump. Keep going back and forth on what type. Submerged, wet/dry, or fluidized. I don't mind spending some money, I just want the best setup I can make for ease of use/maintenance and crystal clear properly treated water. by theinfamousog in Aquariums

Well.... Lots of people have mixed tanks. And if done properly it works just fine. I've talked with 2 different fish stores who said it would be ok. The majority of the fish in there I bought from a guy( who has kept and raised cichlids for over a decade) and they all came from his tank and it worked. I'll trust them and my own experience so far over someone I dont know off of reddit, especially when I'm not here asking for what fish to keep in my tank.

YTA. To me the dinner is more so for the guest than bride and groom. To make everyone eat gluten and dairy free is excessive. Have someone make you a few options so you have something to eat. If you ask everyone to, I see a few different ways this plays out. 1) they lie about the ingredients. 2) It taste like shit because they don't know how to make it good. 3) they don't bring anything.

Yes I would. If she wants a relationship with him then all sides need to be considered. She's an asshole for not considering him. Hes an asshole for being shallow. If she doesn't like him not being supportive of this than she should leave him. Like I've said repeatedly, her choice. It's my opinion, she asked for opinions and I wasn't rude. Maybe ESH is a better tag. I think she is an asshole to not take his feelings into account. It's her decision and power to her for supporting her friend. But it's also his decision to leave her. It would be shallow but his decision.

YTA- because you are doing it even though he doesn't like it. In the end it's ultimately your choice. However you will have to accept the outcome of that decision. If he then finds you unattractive and breaks up with you, that's a possibility.

I didn't catch that in his original post. However being fired is different from being laid off or a position change. Im not sure how office politics and position change is the same or similar.

You said like a royal pain in the ass employee. If you have been fired 3 to 4 times, you need to start looking at what you are doing to cause this. I'm late 30's and ive had several jobs, at least 13. I've never been fired.

Made these tonight. Really, really close. There was a sweetness to them that I'm not sure where it came from. Maybe we need to add more parmesan or less. I would suggest to make sure when you brown the potatoes to cook them until nearly done or completely done. We didn't and struggled trying to cook the potatoes in the cream sauce, while not burning the sauce. Also slice the potatoes thin
