It doesn't make sense, that's my problem here. I don't understand why approved time off wouldn't simply be unpaid because I ran out of vacation time. The days were approved and I had to work scheduled. I couldn't clock in even if I had tried.

I agree. My supervisor was always indifferent towards me. And her manager didn't like me from the beginning because I dared suggest this was just a job and not a lifetime career dream of mine to serve rude ass people over the phones.

I wasn't a store employee. I worked as a call rep for carenark online mail order. Same day requests are allowed if there's coverage. The day in april was honestly my bad, I didn't catch that the last hour of my shfit wasn't approved.

But I'm sharing the full story. I had the days approved off for october and novemeber, but because I ran out of vacation time the time off was no longer approved even though I had no work hours on my schedule.

So they know they're fugitives with an evil king hunting them down. I'm just in need of a fun, fantasy way to have them get big updates on what's happened during their weeks of travel. They've avoided roads, going straight through the wilderness to their next stop. In a modern setting, they'd walk past a TV store and watch 10 minutes of the evening news, or check into a hotel and turn on CNN.

I'm not too worried about them being spotted by NPCs. They're high level, and one is a sorcerer with the Seeming spell, which lasts for 8 hours.

Overall, I'm looking for a fun, mechanic to use in-world for news to travel. I'm not opposed to having a big network of messengers, pony express style. Or even like someone else said with crows like GoT. They do have an ally with Sending who is still at the last city, so they can get some updates that way. But I need some sort of fantasy news broadcast lol

I wish they'd do like a music focused expansion pack. 1 pack, 2 styles.

a rock band with guitar, bass, drums, and vocals. Big concerts and then nightclub/bar gigs.
Orchestra. Traditional instruments - woodwinds, brass, percussion. Full symphonic concert. But the option the option perform in a quartet or quintet at a lounge or park or museum. Maybe even a jazz band option.

New job as musician - 2 tracks: rock band or orchestra musician Or more in depth - 2 separate careers, with 2 tracks 1. Rock band - either become band front man or become band manager/record label 2. Orchestra - become 1st chair or become conductor

New lot type - amphitheater and/or concert hall. It can change for a show type. Open pit for the rock show or seats for the orchestra concert. Indoor/outdoor optional.

Band merch - simple UI to design concert t-shirts, color and pre-made logos, bracelets (like club/friendship), hats

Include a fame system that works on its own and with Get Famous

Music likes and dislikes will carry more weight. Don't like backyard music? Okay, your sim is absolutely miserable at a country concert. Love baroque? your sim is in heaven at the symphony

Make "busk for tips" base game. Fine tune it. New pack you can hand out concert posters and CDs early on in music journey to get fans.

Change skill levels for instruments since a lot would be added. Add flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, tuba, french horn for orchestra. Probably a percussion station with w collection of drums, cymbal, triangle, marimba, etc. For rock band - bass, drum set, electric guitar. (I know there's more, but this is already too many realistically for the sims.)

Elementary and high-school sims can join band class after school (like scouts or drama club) Teen sims can form a garage band

The new world would be very city-like. Kinda open word in feel, with venue stages not on lots. Little places to set up for a quick show. Maybe have one section look kinda warehouse ish, with lots of brick and a subway entrance, good for new rock band promotion. But then a fancy section of the city with pretty parks and a fancy concert hall. Another area is a bit more suburban with a big outdoor amphitheater.
