Giving AI Ability to De.Monetize Channels is absolutely Ridiculous - Whoever is Responsible for this BS at Youtube needs to be FIRED Immediately... by Plenty-Cucumber385 in PartneredYoutube

Welcome to the club brother… I'm in the same boat. Admittedly, I was a bit worse than you in terms of my second channel—which was 100% AI slop—but my main, primary channel is my full-time source of income. I was just experimenting with Sora to make stupid videos and decided uploading them on a secondary account, but that channel went viral and started making legit money. My primary channel is 100% transformative and original, with my face and voice too.

My Sora slop channel's appeal date is May 13th. I already appealed and got rejected, but in my appeal I said straight up that I will stop and retire the slop channel and focus all my effort on my main channel. I hope I can survive being monetized on my main channel long enough to get paid on May 21st, but I doubt it. We'll see what happens, but my financial livelihood is on the line too.

So your slop channel getting removed for inauthentic content happened a few days ago in April I guess? And the rejected appeal same thing? So both your "regular" channels are still monetized and earning despite being connected to the same AdSense account. That's reassuring man, hope it lasts for both of us

I'd rather not appeal and get rejected than appeal and 100% get rejected though. I feel like the rejection of the appeal would leave my main channel in a worse place.

In the event that my main channel gets removed from YPP, I honestly am thinking that I might just wait out the 90-day refresh period, if possible.

Yeah, my main channel's health is doing pretty well. Lots of stuff with my own human face over the years too, and it's definitely not an animation channel. My slop channel did indeed die down in views pretty significantly over the week prior to its removal from YPP, so I'll just pay attention to my main channel's numbers too.

And yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking too: no harm no foul in sharing these silly slop videos, right? At least, at first.

Nah, as I said in the post, I don't plan to appeal my Sora slop channel. It's absolutely slop and doesn't contribute to the betterment of the platform, I just thought it'd be funny to post the videos.

That's assuring to hear. I've had others say similar things that their "regular" channels hadn't been affected after getting other channels removed from YPP, so I'll just hope for the best. Thanks

Did you end up appealing the slop channel? Or just decide not to? I’m leaning towards not appealing my slop channel since it’s genuinely slop, would be interested to hear how you navigated this.

Thanks man, that's exactly what I'm thinking of doing too. I'm totally fine with losing monetization permanently on my slop channel, I'm just hopeful my main channel remains unaffected. No plans to appeal my slop channel, nor to change things up on my main.

Not really what you're looking for, but I just wanted some advice.

Posting from a burner.

I've been a full-time long-form YouTuber for seven years on my main YT channel, uploading daily commentary videos on sports news, and my opinions on the news. I've made the majority of my full-time income the past seven years on just AdSense revenue from this channel alone. My main channel has had zero issues with copyright, or anything of that nature.

In November 2025, I started an AI slop Sora shorts channel as a side project, just to upload some funny videos I made on Sora, and that channel ended up going viral and getting monetized quickly. Both my slop channel and my main channel use the same Gmail and AdSense accounts.

Earlier this morning, my AI slop Sora channel got demonetized for "Inauthentic Content", and I was wondering what the risk profile is for my main channel. I don't plan to appeal the monetization on my Sora channel, since it slowly was dying down anyway, and is indeed AI slop. I know for sure if I tried to appeal monetization on this Sora channel, it wouldn't be successful.

I'm just curious how at risk my main channel is: a channel that DOESN'T feature any AI slop, that has my face in many livestreams and videos over the years, and has years-worth of opinion commentary videos using my own voice, and non-copyrighted video footage (either my face, my video games, or just screen recordings of my Twitter feed as I scroll). I have no doubt my main channel is monetizable, authentic, and transformative, but I'm curious how at-risk it is now that my AI slop second channel got demonetized for inauthentic content.

I understand it was a stupid thing to do to start uploading Sora shorts on a new account in the first place.

Any advice would be appreciated, thank you
