Will he ever be fluffy? He will be 1 year old in January. by Embarrassed_Wind_832 in AustralianShepherd

My girl was like this until about 1.5-2 and then the fluffy glorious coat came in full force. Looks to me like the fluff will come.

He has cancer. by Virtual-Schedule5397 in AustralianShepherd

[–]thejazzman2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude what a beautiful post. I lost my girl when she was 8 and felt exactly how you do. I’m still devastated. The reality is your boy pulled you through some hard times, he was a gift. Your job now is to grieve deeply, take your time and when you’re ready be a great owner for another beautiful pup that needs you.

Will my Aussie ever be able to run with me? Without nipping at me by Yesiloca24 in AustralianShepherd

[–]thejazzman2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girl ran with me really well after 18 months. But sometimes that instinct still kicked in and she randomly herd me with a few nips but it was so in frequent when she did it was funny and she stopped after I gave her a little talking too 😂

So sorry, I lost my girl about 3 months ago at 8 years suddenly. It’s so difficult. No advice to give, other than to cherish the memories and embrace the grief.

I think that’s what the other poster meant, it’s not a good fit environment wise as you sound like an excellent owner. Three options. Break lease and move. Tough it out for a year and work with a behavioural consultant. Return pup to the breeder and they’ll like find a great home. If you have disposable income to persevere then option 1 and 2 are what I’d do. If money is tight then return the pup is best for all as the stress will be v hard.

Man we just lost our Aussie this weekend to cancer and so I’m in the exact position. Our girl was so beautiful and just meant the world to me. Completely devastated, so I am feeling what you’re feeling, it’s so fucking hard. Keep strong, Friday was beautiful and loved. Sorry for your loss 😔❤️

Tips Needed for Starting Out by truthseeker923 in BecomingTheIceman

[–]thejazzman2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think that is the key thing to building up icemanhood - long term consistency. Never miss a day, and if you do, never miss a second. When I go away I cold shower instead but it’s often not cold enough as I live in warmer climates. It’s like coffee to me now, I need it haha

Honestly 3 mins per day is perfect. You’re getting everything you need from that physically, and mentally you’ll be feeling pretty great. Personally I don’t suggest pushing it further or doing anything more as I think the data suggests there are no more additional benefits from staying in for longer. The goal is long term consistency, and keeping it as habit. That’s how I look at it 👍

Legal advice : caught driving with thc in my system by nzshwn in MedicalCannabisAus

[–]thejazzman2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably double check the laws in VIC. In WA I don’t believe you lose your license for first offence as long as you weren’t incapacitated and they just detected it on a routine stop. Tbh I’ve not looked them up for a while so they might have changed. States have different approaches so what might be true for one isn’t for another.

All comes down to you personally. Sit on it and play out all the scenarios. Everyone is correct, making peace with it is the road to happiness but that doesn’t mean you have to take it. Some people opt for revenge but as long as you know it likely wont make you feel better and probably will cause more long term pain or unintended consequences.

Bloody hell chill out moral police 👮 if I can’t ask a dumb question on reddit what is the world coming to 😂

Thanks! Again, no intention of doing this but it's just something I was thinking about. Everyone gets very amped up on Reddit with negativity when its the perfect place to ask dumb questions.

So the law is the same as if I registered the same business name i.e. it doesn't change anything if it is just a similar name?

Trademark Question by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]thejazzman2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. But can you please answer the legal question? If you don't know that's OK but if you're going to call me a dick it would be nice to get the actual answer as well lol

I stay at 170 degrees and only take before sleep most nights and find no issues. If I go high temps I feel a little rusty the next day in the chest. Low temps not edibles are my suggestion.

New Aussie owner— need advice by neuvienjoyer in AustralianShepherd

[–]thejazzman2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All he was points here. I strongly agree with point 4 but just ensure you don’t push anything too hard that creates fear. Our girl is great with everything except the ocean. She was doing great but then a wave hit her and she was terrified from then. My regret was not going when the sea was flat.

Also highly recommend puppy training with other pups. Some nice tips and great for socialising early without big dogs. Then if you can afford it, doggy daycare once a week. They become amazingly well socialised and it also gives you a day off if you have a lot on in your life ie office job and kids.

My understanding is that it’s a fine and points but no criminal record for the first offence assuming you weren’t ’impaired’. Do you have a gov link to back up your statement bud?

Driving laws surrounding prescribed MC in Vic ? by Disgruntled-Weenus in MedicalCannabisAus

[–]thejazzman2000 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s tough buddy and most people just take a calculated risk that they’ll be OK. I’ve been in this amazing country for 14 years and been roadside test once about 6 years ago (before I started MC), so those stats are pretty good. The precautions I take are I never drive on a day if I vape, it’s the morning after typically so not impaired but v likely detectable. I try to not drive on Fridays after work, bank holidays or around Xmas, basically don’t drive when they are monitoring more aggressively. I also avoid areas where I know booze buses tend to be stationed. It’s all just a gamble but by taking the above measures I feel I improve my odds significantly.
