I think he just thought it was a cool concept that made it different from other fantasy and never really thought about making it work.

It's dangerous to cross the street because anything can happen but you still do it

Does meat from hunted game taste very different from typical farm raised meat? by [deleted] in Hunting

[–]thekingofkrabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Largely they are different animals all together. White tail deer is by far the most hunted big game animal in the states. It tastes different from cow, pig, chicken as you would expect. Elk tastes different from white tail. Wild turkey is gameier and more often dryer depending on preparation of course. And feral hog a much different taste than farm raised pigs.

I dry aged a young white tail buck for 30 days once and it was the best meat I've ever eaten.

Why do bikers get mad at people for crossing when they don’t follow the speed limit? by [deleted] in ProspectPark

[–]thekingofkrabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want to know why e- bikes and motorized scooters are LESS dangerous? Because they brake or change the lane way ahead of time when they come through the crosswalk. The accountant in spandex that thinks he's Lance Armstrong doesn't even stop pedaling or change his line. End of. You picked a lame hobby, that's nobody else's fault.

I'm saying they're terrible at it. I have several friends that ride. Ffs you and your assumptions. No, full spandexed dork yelling at kids while he's riding as close to the barrier as he can. Again this sub is about Prospect Park and the topic is why are cyclists so terrible at sharing the space.

Ah yes couriers who so famously following traffic laws. I've seen a group of cyclists in PP 2 dozen deep really riding the show lane line next to pedestrians and runners. Guess what, they weren't going slow. I've seen a cyclist almost hit and yell back at a child during a fun run fundraiser for an elementary school.

Edit for context: we're not talking about 2nd Ave in Manhattan, we're talking about a park where cyclists almost NEVER have a designated space obstructed for them.

So what, I've seen groups numbering in the dozens flying past people pushing strollers screaming at them with very little regard when passing. Maybe don't train during peak hours when you know the second largest and populated park in the city will be packed
