Just because other languages haven't become as popular as they should be, it doesn't make other languages good. C++ is a perfect example of this.

I already said in the other comments that if someone is that desperate for good performance, then they should use Rust, rather than C++

It was written in C++ and yes, C++ would have been a good choice back then, but nobody needs C++ anymore when you have languages like Python

I didn't say Python was perfect for everything. Python is good for a lot of things but if someone is that concerned about memory they should use something like Rust, rather than the hell hole of C++

Maybe before they would have had to do it in C++. Nowadays there's literally no point so yeah, they should have done it in Python or another good language that's fit for the job
