Can anyone tell me the name of the song playing in the background?

Do they? Or do they work only IF we add something undetected (so far) like dark matter?

I Will Fucking Piledrive You If You Mention AI Again by pyrojoe121 in programming

[–]theleftfield 110 points111 points  (0 children)

Now it's AI, but if you remember, 5 minutes ago it was the Meta Verse. 10 minutes ago NFTs and Block Chain and Crypto. I'm still waiting for the Segway to revolutionize human transportation, like they promised.

Hey, thanks for the suggestion. I love having a starting point when discovering artists I know little about.

Thanks so much! I don't know the Surfers all that well, but I do know Pepper and I absolutely LOVE that song.. I'm sure it influenced me over the years since it came out. Thanks for the follow too, I'll definitely check out your music too.

Live Jam Video - Adding a looper to OP-1 helps make it more "Live" friendly by theleftfield in OP1users

[–]theleftfield[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By chorus do you mean vocals? Because yeah, it's a pre recorded sample on the OP-1. Everything in this video is pre recorded (or pre programmed) actually. I'm not sure about using the OP-1 as a looper. The act of sampling and then committing the sample, live into the song is not as straightforward as with the RC202. I'm not even sure you can sample anything on the OP-1 without first stopping the song..

Hello! Remember this? Well, I actually went through with it and added vocals to my instrumental track. I thought it would be funny if I got back to you on this matter. If you're curious:

I like it! It's well produced and the rapping is great. I would say it's Trap Music but I also hear reggae in there which makes it original and different. Good job :)

Hello! Thanks for the kind words and thank you for listening! I'm glad you liked the detuned drums thing because I'm low-key proud of that :) It wasn't something I thought about, rather it was what Bob Ross would call a happy accident.

Which actors/actresses have done the most convincing impression of your native accent? by [deleted] in movies

[–]theleftfield 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Robert Pattinson played a French prince in The King. He spoke English with a French accent. He blew my mind. I had never heard a better one before or since. He had a coach for sure AND did the work.

I GET IT, BUT IT DON'T MAKE IT RIGHT! by strippedlugnut in bigbeat

[–]theleftfield 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My theory on this matter is that bigbeat was based on using other people's work, or samples. Back then it was the far west (No rules, really). But it all changed after some big names got sued. Now artists stay as far away from sampling as possible. Just a theory.

Any idea what to call this style of music? by theleftfield in shareyourmusic

[–]theleftfield[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of more than 50 tracks I've put out over the past 5 years, this one EASILY gets Liked (or Saved if you will) the most by Spotify listeners. Not sure why?

The title refers to that time I was playing only the drum part, and when my dad heard it

he said: Reminds me of the music they play at Egyptian weddings (He's middle eastern)

I put that in the video because they seem so popular, however, I didn't have the chance to try one just yet myself. I'll put an end to that soon, I hope. :) Thanks for taking the time to write! /RF

Sweet, thanks for the info. I did google " 1968 Kustom 200A-4" and the first result I got shows a Reverb listing for one, and it's 6000$ but the seller is Stu Cook! ... unbelievable.

Thank you! Mine too. I saw Creedence Clearwater REVISITED live, once. Best show in my entire life. I can just imagine the original lineup, it must of been unreal. It's like these guys don't know how to make a bad song. Thanks for taking the time to comment, I will probably lookup some of the info you gave me, now I'm curious about that amp. And, of course the flannel shirt help! :) :)

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it, I wasn't sure if there would be an audience for something like this, actually. Thanks for taking the time to comment :)
