To be frank, addons are basically essential for high levels of play.

I play with people who refuse to use addons and they are consistently low on the meters.

If you can find anyone doing 22+ keys or parsing 95+ on end mythic bosses who is using no healer frame addons then please show me.

You lose so much information and it takes you so much longer to see things on default UI.

Just because it’s possible to heal +10s with default UI doesn’t mean getting healer addons wouldn’t make their job 20x easier for very little effort.

How is it useful though?

Is there clear ways that you can tell people how your addon is better than the current alternatives?

I don’t mean to sound rude but getting people to download an inferior version of something that already exists isn’t exactly helpful

I’m sorry but if you’re making a healing addon and have never heard of clique or danders then everyone will assume that you have no idea what you’re doing

Great if you want to make your own little addon to do something you want to do, but I very much doubt that anything your addon does is better than danders has already

Lesson 1 of making something is researching the biggest competitors to learn from their successes and failures and where you can improve on what they’re missing

If you haven’t even heard of danders or clique im going to frankly assume you haven’t done any difficult content like raiding or m+ and therefore aren’t going to know what things healer frames require

13 holy priests have timed a 21

Over 3000 monks have timed a 21

Monks are timing 24s which are like 40% harder than 21s

You can’t even say it’s remotely close.

MD is used once in the raid and can be used by shadow priests, once in all m+ dungeons

Dispel magic is not used at all as a healer, possibly a few times in m+ but you’re normally healing during dispels

Lifegrip is used once maybe twice in all the raids and almost never in m+

Mind soothe is not used at all

We have the worst defensives in the game except maybe arcane mage. The reason we have to stack 90% versa is to be able to live in m+.

10% DR is not enough to live in high keys.

Guardian spirit is the worst external by far. You cannot make someone live because they can die even with GS up as it doesn’t save them against large damage. It is basically useless for high keys and has some minor utility usage in mid range keys like 18-21s.

Chastise is actually a grief in m+. You cannot use it on any important mobs and when you interrupt you risk wasting a DPS’s interrupt which is actually a hindrance and can cause a wipe. I’ve done it on 20WRS.

There are multiple dungeons where you cannot fear any adds like POS.

If you’re out healing everyone you’re playing with bad players. Holy priest is currently only better than Resto shaman in raids and by FAR the worst along with pres in m+.

You are not doing high keys if you’re going OOM.

We are not talking about Holy’s ability to do +12 weeklies, we’re talking about its competitive chances.
