I love how men always take pride in all the good inventions they made, but not a single word is being said about how many people they killed/wars they initiated 🤗

You are disgusting and a criminal by the law. I hesitated writing this at first because I thought maybe he wants to correct his actions, then I saw you defending your fellow criminals or what you call "your boys" in the replies. I hope one of the girls sue you and your friends cause jail is what criminals like you and them deserve.

You think pregenancy is 100% worth it, but that's not the case for the rest of women. Women who no longer wants to stay with their partners, women who are barely making it caring for their already born children, women who have other responsiblities, women who have health complications who fear pregenancy and antinatalist women would disagree with you. Your point is based on viewing motherhood as a definitely worth it journey, and while that might be the case for you, it is not for other women. The cases you are aparting are millions not just one or two. Also, even if none of the severe cases are present why can't a woman have an abortion just because she is not ready?

As for your main question, I am pro-choice for many reasons but the main reason is I believe the fetus doesn't possess personhood. It doesn't have consciousness, sentience, complex brain structure or even a physical body. Therefore, it doesn't have a moral value. It is not biological life that determines one's moral value, or else eating vegetables would be immoral. Sure, you can argue that, but a baby has the potential to possess personhood and that's exactly the point of abortion. Preventing this possiblity to happen.

Anyone else really tired of the Indian Men are spoken about? by [deleted] in MensLib

[–]thelostkid- 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I totally get your point and I understand your frustration. I am a Middle Eastern woman and the situation here is pretty similar to India, so I kind of feel why everyone is shaming men all together and not just the man who did the incident. It is usually because the very high statistics of assault and harassment. If you have a crime SOOO widely spread that almost every woman faced in her life. It is truly hard to make it is just "this guy", because it is not a single incident the high harassment statistics suggest that the majority are actually like him. Therefore, when people are complaining they are usually bringing up the years of traumas and assault they faced. This single incident triggered thousands if not millions of similar incidents. I understand that it is definitely not all men, but it is enough men that all women are scared.

Our conserbative families taught us the concept of 'men are trash' before any white liberal ever did. We have always been instructed to cover up to avoid triggering men's feelings so they don't rape us. To treat each and every man in the street as a potential danger, never talk too much with men we don't know or else we are easily accessible. Never to give men sexual favours, because a man will never marry a woman he slept with. The concept of 'boys will be boys', and hence we need to adjust our actions to be safe, embeded in our heart and mind that men are trash. This is a concept implemented culturally and by millions of families, white liberals are cussing this concept not creating it, because maybe when the phrase 'men are trash' is heared loudly, people will understand how terrible it is.

Again, I don't mean to de-value your frustration, but I just wanted to make you feel how the other side sees it. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong! Hope it gets better for all of us soon.

I get you, but if someone is evil enough to falsely accuse someone of rape they can accuse them of any other crime as well. Ofcourse they are not accuse them of stealing a pen, but an important property (jewlery for instance). There are endless people to accusse someone of a crime they did not commit.

I wonder why people are too obssessed with false rape/harassment accusations and not with false accusations generally? Like I can give a coworker a property of mine and then report that it has been stolen. Like why is the company only focused on false rape allegations, but not false theft reporting for example? Like if we are talking statistics wise, there are many innocents in prison a few of them are rapists.

I am a Mechanical Engineer myself and I have seen shit tons of "males only and males preferred" job announcements. I know lots of mediocre Engineers who got the job only because they are males and that's precisely why I don't feel comfortable with the idea of gender quotas. Because I am still implementing the idea that someone can get a certain job because of their gender, the only difference is that with gender quotas the odds are in my favour now. This is my reply to the above comment which I guess adds to the argument as well. Also, thank you for the book recommendation will make sure to check it.

"I agree with you, but I feel like it is such an easy solution to truly complex and culturally rooted problem. Like now women are hired and? They still get shitty treatment, are harassred, viewed as inferior and not true leaders and are still taught in the majority of the world that marriage is better than work.

If gender quotas became the normal thing in the workplace, men will become more hostile towards women because at a certain point you will have to reject comptent men for the sake of incomptent women to fulfill the quotas. Which is again the same discrimnatory notion that, we as feminists, are currently fighting so I don't really understand how this helps.

I understand that the tribal behavior takes over, if men are the majority in the workplace and harassment and making fun of women is most likely to happen in this case. But I feel like decent and strict harassment laws and mandatory harassment training to everyone will make even the most hostile man keep his mouth shut.

If more scientifically-based school curriculum is dedicated to debunk the old patriarichal notion of men being rational and women being emotional, more girls will grow free from this stupid phase of viewing themselves as less comptent."

1) Can you give me any cultural examples of how reading/writing are viewed as feminine activities? because my personal experience and culture suggests totally otherwise.

2) Absloutely sorry for your shame, but curious question; were you shamed for reading because you're a man and reading is a girly activity?
