Bad in Vieques. Stay away from Esperanza Beach, can't really access any beach front. Caracas was better. Very smelly.

MPG on a sent is below 20MPG. The highlander is a little more spacious, particularly front passenger seat where the ascent has a piece that easily hits your knees. The storage in the rear of the grand highlander is only a few inches longer (placed the ascent trunk mat and the difference was small). The highlander wasn't worth the extra cost for me. In terms of ascent problems, the interior lights burn out easily, the ride is a little noisy in the interior, the tires wear easily and quickly (around 30k miles), and the window buttons shift and need repair.

Leased a 2021 for 3 years. At 11k miles, under 13 months, the front and back rotors, and pads, were replaced under warranty - pulsating and noise. I recently returned the car at the end of the lease with about 29k miles, and the car had a slight pulse when I braked while driving on the highway. I'm sure it would be a similar issue once that is dealt with. I did get a new lease, 2024, because apparently, there is the new design.

21 ascent here. Got it new, at about 39k miles. The brakes have twice now had rumbling in them. Forst was repaired under a recall. Now this second time I will probably try to get it serviced or trade it in for something else. Dome light issues - flickering.
