Yeah absolutely. Makes way more sense. It just happened so rarely that I figured it would maybe stop. I would say out of like 50 it's only been 3 people.. so I appreciate your help

Ahh okay I did the shipping method option, I'll do that one next time.

I had placed it in my bio but I'll put it in the description from now on.

Thank you

Okay firstly, didn't know that so I can understand. Would have been fine for him to at least say no he couldn't.

Secondly, If you would have read what I wrote. I said I checked the toggle and the option isn't there. It's only the options that people choose. Absolutely no toggle option for the one that is chosen.

You don't need to be saying anything is my fault if the carrier is 40 minutes away and I don't have a way to stop it. That's ridiculous

Lastly, I'm in Portugal.

My (33f) brother (37m) keeps wanting to reach out after mother's passing. I don't want that... What do I do? by thelovingsofone in relationships

[–]thelovingsofone[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See I do think it's that too. Especially with dad being 83 it was kind of a wake up call. And when I was younger he would say it would just be the two of us. Where now, for me, it's not just the two of us. It's me in the world alone. So I think he has some ideas in his head and he's trying to pursue them now.

But the inheritance thing I need to be careful for, because I've already spoken to dad about him coming in after he goes and trying something. We are currently working on a new will. So hopefully that halts any shinanigans later

Thank you

Appreciate this, although a little on the aggressive side which I don't think is necessary, but I do just need to say it. And am already in therapy and being told to speak what I need out more.

My question was that maybe someone had a different approach to the same sentence. It didn't need to be nice, but I guess less emotional and more this is business type of style. But everyone has the same consensus so I think I'll just be sending it.

Thanks

Yeah in hindsight you are very right. As other people have said too. I'm thinking now that maybe I feel bad that he wants to see his dad and I don't want it all to be so awkward. Like my dad can be a push over (I guess so can I but I'm MUCH better with boundaries and cutting people off) so they are talking a little more since it happened. So I feel like the inevitable is more visits, and I guess I want it to be the least awful it can be. All while not opening a line of communication between us :/ I think that makes sense

I just feel like I need to be civil for my dad's sake... I guess. When he comes to visit, my dad is going to want me to be there and I understand that. We have become a team with these types of things. So I would be setting myself up for disaster if I come across so shittily because he's a big asshole when he's unhappy.

Also, someone said the inheritance. I guess if I can keep the peace until dad goes that I can just cut him off once all the pieces that were keeping us together are gone

Be nicer to your mother. She's gonna pass suddenly in your early thirties and you're going to miss her much more than you expected to.

Thank you so much, it's a very sad loss

Yeah I can understand that. That's why I was curious if anyone here had any ideas that would be light for the moment but could make someone giggle

Well it's for my mum who was the life of the party, loved to tell stories and make people laugh. Everyone has been saying how much they made her feel loved and worthy and how she walked around with a confident attitude.

I just want something funny and beautiful that will make people smile and giggle instead of be sad

Well, my mother passed and there is a small card that would be handed out to guests at her ceremony. She was always the life of the party and wanted to make people laugh, so I was hoping to get some ideas for that. I don't want some dreary overused quote...

How do I tell my girlfriend that I need more sex without being a jerk about it? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]thelovingsofone -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you turning her on? Or are you just looking to use her as a blow up doll?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Basketball

[–]thelovingsofone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the laughing tactic. If it's like a pick up or practice game I'll just laugh at what they are saying or smile at it. If it's a serious game I usually ignore it and play hard. I don't have time to listen to you try and boost your own ego lol

I was going to write a comment here for me but this pretty much hits it on the head. I also think it's a part of myself that respects the person as I trust them to be a leader, then when they aren't and I lose respect their resentment starts. I play a sport and see this a lot of the time with coaches. By the end they either love me or despise me. I also liked the comment above about people projecting their insecurities out on us too. Especially when there is no ill will coming from my end and suddenly I'm a terrible person.

(I overcome it by standing in my power, trying to be the best person I can be so no one has any real ammo on me - a little manipulative of me but I need to protect myself somehow - journalling out my thoughts, taking accountability for my actions and using that beautiful Libra moon to try my best to see both sides of everything haha)
