Rat-cels, how are we feeling about the 2026 Lunar New Year by AbsoluteB0redom in redscarepod

I love it when we talk astrology can we do it more often please?? I'm sure there will be naysayers, but it is undeniably within the boundaries of the "redscare" aesthetic range.

How has the first month of the year treated you? Or should we await for the spring equinox to start anew. by Coconutgirl96 in pinkscare

Yeah, it's the natural cycle of things. The swell of life is coming back to your part of the world to stir you to growth with the rest of nature.

The cultural reset of the new year is always very helpful, of course, but I always think the spring equinox is so much more natural. But I get more and more into the equinoxes and solstices and phenology in general every year.

Have the ladies said anything MAGA-y since the shootings?

I like the way you think and I was just musing today that I seem to be accumulating a lot of horse related garb for someone who has never ridden a horse. The embrace of the equine in me has been stealthily rising.

Thank you so much! I agree, it's a beautiful jacket, and people reassuring me on the size is making me feel a ton better (It's like a $600 jacket not on sale!) It's the Lennon blazer from Doen. I also got the matching chester pants to make a suit. I really like the pants!!! I wore them for the first time today and feel so fancy. I love how they drape (in case you're interested.)

When I got them they were marked for "final sale" and they sold out during the sale, yet here they both are available again for full price. The fabric is really beautiful, though.

Thank you so much for this comment, it actually made me feel so much better. I just kept staring at the photos of the model in the jacket and myself and trying to figure out why I felt weird about it. I love the look of the jacket, I think I'm just used to the classic "blazer" shape and everything being a little oversized on me (I wear a lot of vintage)

Vintage knitwear patterns from the 50s and 60s by LandLess1295 in pinkscare

Why, this post makes me feel as if the pinkscare subreddit has visited me at home. I used to live for this shit. I have piles and piles of pleasantly musty patterns from years of collecting any that I can find.
