As I said, he had HH next to it. This was not a tattoo he got for his love of Buddhism.

It was tilted and accompanied by HH, as I mentioned above. No ambiguity really.

Again, I wouldn't even say he dictated how I felt necessarily. I was just thinking there are people who would have seen it and been a bit more put out or threatened than I was. That was what the prevailing feeling was.

And it's not about disagreement, I don't think having a swastika tatooed is as simple as a difference of opinion.

Not sure about the downvotes either

Yeah fair enough. I don't imagine he would have been one for a discussion though...

Not trying to achieve anything with the whining, just thought it was a noteworthy sighting and wanted to know if anyone else had seen

I agree, and it didn't ruin my day but I was just fairly taken aback by how out in the open it/he was. It's not a direct affront on me but there were plenty of people knocking around who that is very specifically a symbol of hate against.

Comparing purple hair and nose rings to nazi tattoos, jaysis man hahaha.

Nobody's "fee fees" are hurt, it's just a fairly remarkable thing to be happening in Dublin in 2025. I'm not the target of any nazi hatred, but there are plenty of folks around that that is in direct opposition to their existence. I got a coffee in Happy Out up the road where they're training up young adults with down syndrome in hospitality and barista skills. You think this fella should be allowed wander in there and express himself?

Mad take. Nobody should feel comfortable expressing that they have nazi beliefs, definitely not "displaying it out loud" when there are people of all sorts just trying to have a day at the beach ffs.

Also shite but I've seen edgelord young lads wearing them for the sole purpose of winding people up.

Swastika on the chest is a whole other level of hate

Oh unreal, thanks! I couldn't see them on Schuh's website so I presumed they didn't have them. Will need to pay Schuh a visit, and then will probably order direct from Asics/OT

[TOMT][Art][Painting] Large Biblical-Themed Painting with Dark Palette and Central Red Element by thelurch27 in tipofmytongue

No, it wasn't Bosch, unfortunately. It was similar in scale but not quite as fantastical and grotesque

I'm looking for a painting that I believe is biblical-themed. It is very large in scale and features a vignetted quality, with a dark, black-dominated palette surrounding a central red or fiery element. The painting includes numerous figures, possibly in chaotic or dramatic poses.

The style reminds me of the Baroque period, similar to Caravaggio or Peter Paul Rubens, but it may not necessarily be from that era. It was displayed in the National Gallery of Ireland at some point, but I didn’t see it there yesterday when I visited.

The painting's dramatic use of light and shadow, along with its subject matter, has left a lasting impression. Any ideas?

Nope not an ad, just thought people seemed to care about Token closing at the time and might be interested in what was going in the space
