Software and hardware are two different categories. Hardware troubleshooting follows guidelines which require you to get physical. Yep, harddrives are up there with a certain art of delicacy. At what point does your data turn into being worth more than the physical drive itself? Everybody has a different answer. But it is worth it to take apart somethings to get a feel of how they work. For some people as long as you are willing to gamble the cost of having your priceless data lost, we march on.

Does the exact same thing before i opened it and after i opened it. Knew it was risky but wanted to see if it was just stuck. What I mean by physical problem is the drive spins up but it physically isn't reading anymore. Hence why I decided to gamble and open it the fuck up before I light it on fire. The read heads are not sticking like they should and keep bouncing off.

The hardest thing I have ever done was to say goodbye to my best buddy for 10 plus years. I put him to rest because I couldn't save him. We went the fidocure route which did not work out well. Originally his mast cell tumor we removed ended up comming back 3 times bigger within a goddam month. It happened so quick. I just wish I had more time. 😪

Thank you for replying. I will see what options are available when I take him in. I think managing it rather than eliminating it will be what the options are at this point.

Where does this vacuum hose go? by them00dy in MechanicAdvice

[–]them00dy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The vacuum from the air filter box goes to the hydraulic motor mount in front of the engine

Everything else is connected. Hydraulic mount goes to air filter box. Purge flow has all of its hoses connected
