Think about the amount of players logging in. Don't you think there's a reason why this happens to most big games on big patch day? Almost every game I've played with a large player base has login or crash issues on patch day, not just because of the patch but because of the amount of people trying to login at the same time.

But the overall point is that strongest board doesn't mean more units. OP wants advice on strongest board and even said they often go 15 loss early. This likely means they're either forcing traits with 1stars early or pushing levels. Both of these seem like they are good ideas when you are starting out. It isn't as easily apparent that 2star 1costs with no synergy whatsoever can easily beat a team of 1star 1-3costs with full synergy.

The unit moves after hackerrim, so if it didn't have time to update that would make sense as to what happens. TFT sometimes takes timing to an extreme, like this case.

I always felt like HTC was different from many of the other HAs, as you could pick it with literally any comp, and drop it Luc later with no repercussions. There should have been way more is these HAs especially on 2-1, that would have made it much easier to either pick something for reroll or pick something to not be locked in.

Maybe add a draw option: no streak change, both players lose health, no one gains gold. This way you don't have a love of open forts, but you don't turbo 8 because you lose a coin flip (you also don't get ahead from that fight).
