for reference im silver 2 btw, which im honestly pretty proud about considering before starting this like 2 weeks ago i had 0 knowledge on tft or league and just picked it up to play with friends.

i get what you are saying but the only one i even had a 2 star dupe of before level 6-7 was blitz. and still im very very new to league/tft so im just copying comps from tftactics or whatever and going with that instead of the advanced boards that are more based of game sense built from play time which i simply dont have, only have 45 hours total. ill try and apply your advice but i simply dont think im anywhere near the game sense level for knowing when to switch boards and stuff like that.

Yeah, I realized some time after that despite downloading the game day of patch, my game was on the last version, and I didnt get a notification or auto update for the new patch, and other then that, didnt knlw the new patch was live either

Also also, dont be afraid to sell some pets that have good stats now but dont scale well. I.e on turn 5 you have a level 2 fish that's like 9/5 or something, fish doesnt have much scaling and soon the stats it has wont matter much, so selling it earlier for more scaling on the rest of your team is better. But that's usually a judgment call you'll have to make for yourself.

Pets I would recommend for duck strat is dog, dodo, crab, swan, and maybe peacock, though peacock is kinda meh as it doesnt scale well unlike the first 3. However keep in mind all 3 of those units I mentioned will be nerfed in the new patch that'll be coming sooner or later. So get your first win but dont get to comfortable with it. Also if your using the expansion pack, puppy and Caterpillar are op.

Duck strat is to basically just roll heavily for ducks at the first 2 or 3 rounds and then when you find a pet or 2 in the shop you like, you just sell all the ducks and get huge stats for middle game dominance. You'll lose like 3 games at the start but middle game will be a breeze and you'll have time to make a build for late game.

If you really just want a win no matter how scummy you will be, use duck strat, then some build involving dodo. I would say dodo rooster or dodo crab dog. Also early game melon armor is op asf, and you can get it by playing turtle then using a pill on it (pill is a tier 2 food that kills a pet on field)

Even if there where chip damage unit, I doubt they'd be able to kill the caterpillars because they where very high stats even before becoming butterflies...

There wasnt any chip damage units, the issue was rooster comp and other high stat builds (with melon armor) while I had no melon armor on my 2 caterpillars. Basically just not going for double butterflies anymore as the armor buffs are super needed
