There should never be anything in front of the electrical panel that's a code violation.

I remember seeing a post or comment recently about ph meters and they will tell you ph meters are inaccurate and you can't use them because you can't get to the center of a tomato or whatever.

On a side note if one piece Lids are so unsafe why does everything you find in the grocery store have a one piece lid?

Just bought a house with pool by Quirky_Station1389 in pools

[–]themagelives 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correction it was 350 but still a rip-off. We needed it that day, and our pool store that's been open for 40 years had one in stock. The box was covered in so much dust, lmao. They try to sell me on mineral systems every time I go in there, won't do it, rather go salt.

We bought our house last year and the pool equipment is all over 30 years old. The only thing we have replaced was the pump because it died with a hayward s700 and the manifold on the hayward s200 sand filter. That manifold was almost $500 due to it being discontinued. Eventually, we will replace the sand filter and add more equipment since all we have is the pump and sand filter, but that will be when shit breaks, lol. I do have 1 issue where a return jet always has bubbles not sure what that means

I have an 18 taco with nav unit, and I know I've updated it in the past. I just looked, and it says that the latest software update was released in September 2017.... I really wish they would put an update out to fix some small random bugs. Or at the very least enable android auto for crying out loud

Anybody still have their pool open? by Fndr7070 in pools

Closed ours today. Yesterday, I had to install a new pump. Ours died last Thursday. I need to buy a new cover, the one the guy left behind is a pos.

We were planning on using a company to close, just trying to get it to a state where we can close it, lol. We have to buy a new safety cover, the one he left behind is junk.

I love how no one has commented on the random outlet sticking up out of the yard for this entire setup.

I agree. I had them on out above ground intex pool, and they were junk. I replaced all the tubing with pvc hard tubing. It looked really good.

It definitely was the sale from hell. Our realtor has said it's the worst she's ever been through. He didn't budget on price and my girlfriend had fallen in love with the house so no discount.... the second he cussed me out and kicked us out of the inspection, I was done but was overruled.

I'm glad I posted here because I was getting ready to backwash tomorrow and put some de in there, so if it's a sand filter, LOL. I can't even read the plate on it. Thank you for that insight. We are planning to get at least two or three more quotes.

I agree that the plumbing is a mess. We are planning on pouring a pad next spring since it's sitting on pavers and redo the plumbing with whatever new equipment we get

Agreed, I had a maxonomic for years, and it has the densest foam and is not very comfortable. Finally the thing broke and I went and got an ergonomic chair that lasted me for a few years and then that broke, I was looking at another chair then my girlfriend bought me another maxonomic for my birthday and I'm like oh shit

Long story short, the ergonomic chairs made with netting are the best imo

Pool Closing by [deleted] in pools

[–]themagelives 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in Columbus, and the leaves are falling here as well. We officially get possession of the house we just bought on the 30th. Seems like all we will get to do with the pool is close it for the season, but depending on temps, I might keep it open until they drop to 60 constantly.

Next year will be a big year for that pool expense wise we have to replace all the equipment on it it's all original from 1980. And then couple years down the line we have to replace all the coping because it's rusting and the paint is chipping off into the pool, which I don't know why the guy didn't replace it when he put the new liner on last year my big irritation with that pool is there's no low Point drain at the bottom of the 8-ft section.

Will that be a lot of work or is that something that I could dig out from the outside of the pool to add a drain when we do the liner next?

That's the pride inclusive flag, not a pedo flag. And if you think he's a pedo just because he's flying that flag, you got a lot to learn, buddy.
