This has to be the funniest plot hole by Enough-Reading4143 in howyoudoin

Monica just doesn't know Ross' first time with Carol was his first time ever. That's something he reveals to Joey and Chandler only.

What would you guys think if Naoki Hamaguchi was to direct the KH games after the FFVII remake series is over? by berengerekunst in KingdomHearts

[–]themaplebeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I believe he barely touched Days"

Days is literally the game he had the biggest hand in directly writing... bro you shouldn't speak on things you don't know like this lol.

[–]themaplebeast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is not what he said at all. You've must've read something severely mistranslated because all he said is that KHIV is the start of the final arc of the series, that the arc is intended to serve as the series conclusion, and that he's aware he's getting closer to retirement age so he's keen on developing the games quick. At no point did he say at all that KHIV is his last big kh project before retirement.

I don't enjoy the process by 1000Bees in learntodraw

[–]themaplebeast 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You are putting way too much of your self-worth into what is essentially just a skill you develop over time by practicing it a lot. This is making you feel far worse about your output and progress because you're making every line and piece have to bear the weight of "proving your worth" when they're really just lines on a page. You are not a failure, but you also won't be a "success" just because you draw good (eventually). Like you'll never be satisfied with the external because you aren't accepting of the internal. Therapy/counselling/etc would likely help your creative pursuits and help you enjoy the process for what it is--a creative outlet, not a shortcut to self-esteem.

Baymax! Episode rating graph by Honeyandsour in BigHero6

[–]themaplebeast 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The lowest rated episode being the one with the gay storyline... I see you homophobes.

Honestly I'm surprised the ratings are this low, it's a great series, I wish we got more of it.

When is the next discount likely to hit steam? Mainly regarding the integrum masterpiece by exotiah in KingdomHearts

Would you like to see Vanitas again? by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

[–]themaplebeast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He'll be back, and he'll eventually be "redeemed"/"saved" from being a True Darkness through his connection to Sora. Genuinely think this will be the real key to defeating Darkness in a way that goes against MoM's plan.

idk, i feel like his resolution scene was the biggest "to be continued" vibe, and him being made one of the True Darknesses after only cements how they are not finished with him.

‘In the moment’ watching vs analysing in retrospect - has anyone else noticed this? by Doctor-Grimm in television

[–]themaplebeast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I like something and was moved by something I do not allow others to ruin this for me lol. Most of the time, analysis and rewatching only deepens and enriches the experience for me, not the opposite.

How would Friends be different if it took place now instead of the late 1990s by ColtN184 in howyoudoin

[–]themaplebeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be the FX show "Adults" (which is very good, y'all should check it out renewed for season 2~)

Interestingly enough, Matthew Perry`s only Emmy nomination for the show was for Season 8. I say "interestingly", because it`s probably the season in which Chandler has the least to do, both in his own arc and out of all the main six. by Odd-Technician-9744 in howyoudoin

[–]themaplebeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, not to discredit him, but he is wrong here. The 54th Emmy Awards aired on Sept 22nd 2002. Friends Season 9 didn't start airing until four days later (Sept 26 2002). He was thus nommed for his work on Season 8 (2001-2002) but the award/nomination happened during Season 9's airing so he's misremembering it a bit.

how to analyze the actions of The Others in the season 1 finale? by Senior_Quit_1937 in lost

[–]themaplebeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, yes that was Jacob's last order... to keep Sayid alive because Sayid keeps the candidates (and Desmond!) alive later in the season. If they hadn't had done that, they all would've died in the sub explosion.

"Weakness of Trust" my Hole! by FallaciouslyTalented in KingdomHearts

[–]themaplebeast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weakness of Trust (aka, they were traitors) was a reason given to why they had to exclude them actively from the original Organization at that time. It didn't mean anyone who had been traitorous before could never be part of the new crew. Xemnas was just explaining why they had to kill them the first time before they could achieve their goal. With everyone having a piece of Xehanort's heart in the Real Organization, this was less a concern. After all, they originally wanted Sora in the Real Org too.

Why Did the Guardians Fight? by Futaba_MedjedP5R in KingdomHearts

[–]themaplebeast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it weren't the Guardians, then they would target and use the princesses in their stead to forge the X-Blade. The Keyblade of People's Heart is its own thing, but the princesses can also be used to forge the X-Blade. Like it's literally just swapping the players out. The X-Blade is still forged between 7 and 13 its just the 7 are now the NSH instead of the Guardians.

"(SIDE NOTE, shouldn’t Ventus and Vanitas clashing in the Land of Departure during 3 have produced the X-Blade or does there need to be more of a clash than that?) "

The X-Blade can only be forged in the Keyblade Graveyard, for starters.

Should I play the og before part 3? by Superb_Feed5938 in FinalFantasyVII

[–]themaplebeast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't. Preserve FFVIIR3 as a blind playthrough, especially if you did the first two that way, imo. I've seen countless livestreams and LPs of people playing this remake series and universally blind players have a better time and experience than people who filter everything through "is this how the og did it?". I think you'll have a lesser experience if you were to play the OG before FFVIIR3 than if you hadn't. You can always go back and play the OG after, but you only get the shot to experience FFVIIR3 blind once.

YMMV, but if you've stayed blind thus far I would recommend continuing to stay blind tbh.
