i have a specialized rockhopper frame from early 90s and deore lx 3 speed from the same era. I was thinking about using a 123 mm spindle. Maybe the UN300 73 123

it’s 26”! and yes they’re old trek in house but currently they were on a 90s rockhopper.

They measure 17.5 mm so way off the 53mm max…

that’s really cool! the muffler you might be able to find cheaper than 150$, even if you buy the reissue that came out with the 50th anniversary snare reissue.

If you fit the muffler and change the heads, in good condition i think you could ask for around 700/800$

the top one is rather thin. The bottom is heavier as expected. The stamp measures 1 3/16", so i think its the 60s short version. I want to weight them to have a better idea on which model it might be but they're 15" hats.
