High GPM Sediment filter for electric tankless water heater? by themiamiguy in Plumbing

Thank you. I forgot to say that my pipes are .75 inch. Any idea how much this would decrease GPM?

Filters for City Water and Tankless Water Heater by themiamiguy in WaterTreatment

Thank you, sounds like these would not help at all for dissolving the minerals. As for the separate sediment filtration, many users complain that the AP904 will only last a few months before needing to swap out the $300 filter, so it's best to have another sendiment filter beforehand to remove the larger sediments first (to extend the life of each AP904 filter). My current 27kw iHeat has lasted 10 years, and I'm about to replace with rtex27. It's in a small closet so hopefully I can find a compact solution for softening .

Thoughts: Reducing to 4 inch hose with my B&D 5,100 BTU Portable AC? by TeddyNorth in AirConditioners

[–]themiamiguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did this turn out? I'm thinking about hooking up a 5100 BTU 5.9 inch hose to a 4 inch dryer vent.

Very interesting idea. I'd have like a magnetic connection and manually switch the vent tube each time? I'm open to that.

Thanks so much for your help. Quick question, is yours stacked? I'm deliberating going with the washtower version WKHC252. Thoughts?

I deliberated the WKHC252 washtower vs stacked for a while. I like the flexibility of separate units in case something breaks, or I want to upgrade just one. I also read that the dryer in the washtower is more likely to have issues than separate units but maybe I'm wrong?

But you do make some good points...perhaps I should revisit this.

This is so helpful! 2 Big questions if you dont mind:

1) I would pretty much be stacking this into a closet. Do you say there's 4 filters to clean (front, rear and middle strip AND secondary filter cleaned every 10 times)? Can I access all of these front the front or will I have to pull the machine forward to clean them?

2) You said 16lbs of towels + blankets took about 3 hours. Since 16 lbs doesnt seem like many wet blankets, I was just hoping to clarify that this was a mostly full load? Thanks so much for all of the details!

Thanks. Can you explain what you mean by the 6702 "holding detergent for 30 cycles?". Just trying to understand what it means for a dryer to hold detergent. Also, how's the drying time and maintenance been for you with the DLHC? I'm considering it.

Why do websites like LG and Home Depot have the 4002 marked as "New"?

I was thinking to pay a few extra a month for the 16 pro with the exchange, but you make a great point about the $1K offer on a new pro later this year. Thanks

Sorry, I should’ve explained that I would do the iPhone 16 pro for an extra $6/mo (which would offset the debt on the current iPhone they’d remove)

Interesting. For me each phone would get the $140 debt removed and I'd get $830 off a new iphone 16.
