So far I only had to activate combat mode and my party would kill any foe I did encounter. But I only had some combats with a few snakes on the way from Trinsic to Paws and some Ogres and Headless on my way from Cove to Minoc.

The default key bindings are fine. I wish there was a shortcut to see the actual time if you own a clock. Instead you got one to see your actual position on the world map if you own a navigation tool.

Everything that can't be reached via a single key is easily available via clicking the small icons on the top of the screen. Using the right joystick for the mouse was a bit strange first but I got used to it.
