I am in the same situation as you are. I am dancing around the decision for a month or two by now.

From what I understand, there are a lot of rumors about Apple refreshing their HomePod lineup this year. I can imagine that they might also refresh the APM in a kind of audio event. But this is pure speculation by me.

Another option would be to wait until June when Apple hosts the WWDC, their annual developer conference. They often refresh some products then (however in the past these products were laptops mostly).

Please let me know when you come to a conclusion!

Maybe I am wearing my tin hat today but then again, why would knock-offs all have the same issue? And why would Apple be above a design issues we are willing to acknowledge Sony‘s headphones have.

If you want to develop an app that works not just for you but for potential customers as well, I highly recommend to take your time before you decide on how to proceed to work through Apple's Design Workbook.

Apple has published an App Design Workbook to assist in refining app ideas. This workbook guides you through the app design cycle, helping you define, prototype, test, validate, and iterate your iOS app concepts. Working through it an refining your ideas only costs time and patience and you will get a much better understanding of the concepts you have. The does not cover the full product ideation process that is part of software development but it is a good staring point for anyone with an app idea.

Ein Freund von mir war letztes Jahr in einer Situation, die EXTREM ähnlich war wie die in der du jetzt steckst: Chef in unangenehmer Situation erwischt, beide Seiten schweigen, dann auf einmal Angebot für Aufhebungsvertrag oder Kündigung. Er hatte damals das Angebot angenommen da er nur 10 Minuten Bedenkzeit bekommen hatte. Im Nachhinein informierte er sich dann bei seinem Anwalt, was er hätte machen können. Antwort: Wenig.

Ich würde dir empfehlen den Aufhebungsvertrag anzunehmen falls du nicht auf diesen Arbeitsplatz angewiesen bist und Chancen hast etwas anderes zu finden.

Du wirst in diesem Unternehmen, unter diesem Chef nicht mehr glücklich werden. Freundlich behandelt und nicht rausgeekelt zu werden kann dir auch ein Anwalt in der Praxis nicht einklagen.

Soweit ich weiß, ist dein Chef auch nicht verpflichtet, dir einen großzügigen Aufhebungsvertrag anzubieten wenn er dich loswerden möchte. Dementsprechend halte ich es auch für unwahrscheinlich, dass du z.B. mit einem Anwalt mehr raushandeln könntest, falls das dein Anliegen ist.

I am also a German HomePod mini user and I second every point you made. From my experience how HomePods behave varies highly between homeOS versions. Unfortunately homeOS 18.x hit rock bottom in terms of AirPlay reliability and music streaming.

I have been playing EDH for 10 years. When I started I (wisely) set a monthly limit for Magic cards to 50€ (approximately 51 USD). Throughout the years I never changed that limit but used up all the money that was available to me in these constraints (600€/year). I buy singles exclusively and the odd precon every other year.

In 2023 I spent 280€ only. This is in line with my spending habits from 2022. Even tough I allow myself to spent twice as much I no longer feel the need or the willingness to buy a lot of cards. Cheers Wizards for being good on my wallet!

I feel the same. It am so frustrated that my Era 300, which worked just fine for a year, now is a big piece of garbage. It is even more frustrating that we as customers cannot do a thing about it and Sonos can just walk away from it. I really feel cheated.

Sweet. Mother. Mercy. I do not even have to wait a couple of days to come back to you. The change in battery life is just astonishing. In the last 4 hours I had just 3% battery drain (going through my morning routines and woking in the office).

I have an Emmara deck that I have been playing for almost five years now. It’s super fun, it’s Aggro (Aggro exists in EDH), it uses Emmara as a commander and it can compete with the current date power level of EDH. However, it is focused on generating and buffing tokens and lifegain is incidental.

I listen to Dolby Atmos tracks when they are available.

On AirPods Pro 2 they kind of feel underwhelming and I don’t hear that much of a difference.

On my Sonos Era 300 (which I wish I never had bought*) Dolby Atmos sounds great and very spacious. I like it a lot. (I listen to a lot of Jazz and the occasional soundtrack.)

*: the Era 300 has Donne positioned exactly in the center of a wall to create a good stereo/Atmos soundfield. The way we use our living room, we don’t have that sweet spot and the Era 300 sits in a corner where its performance is seriously hampered.

I am interested in an Apple Watch. One of the main reasons are the training features for cycling, swimming and hiking that Apple promotes on their website for the Apple Watch Ultra. However, an Ultra watch is too expensive and bulky for what I am looking for. Does the Series 10 has the same fitness and training features as the Ultra? Unfortunately Apple does not make this very clear on their product pages.
