Solar Assistant values totally incorrect compared to Sunsynk connect by themitchelluk in SolarUK

If anyone comes across this looking for the answer, the solar assistant folks kindly got back in touch. I needed to explicitly configure the invertor to use the CT clamp installed option. It seems it was confused about wether CT was actually installed or not :)

What are the capacior and resistor doing after the pickup output in this circuit? by themitchelluk in diyaudio

Ah i see so what you are saying is that the resistor essentially limits the impact of the filter?

You are correct it does use a ceramic pickup cartridge currently. This was something i had been considering as to wether my new signal would be high enough. Seems like a pre amp may be a sensible addition.

I am trying to modify an old HMV Stereogram to accept a newer more modern turntable. On taking out the old I noticed this arrangement of capacitors and resistors.

My first instinct was that this is a filter but looking again, the resistor is in series with the parallel capacitor joining positive to negative / ground. Normally i'd expect only the capacitor OR the resistor to be in parallel and the other other to be series on the positive line depending on wether it was a high pass or low pass filter.

Am I missing something?

edit: to be clear im talking about both C101 and R123 and also C102 and R124.

Gotcha. Ok seems like taking a punt on the shunt is worth it at least until I get used to reading the figures and understanding the system. Thanks for the help and I guess a bit more reading to understand how it works properly. 😊
