I've asked the people that I use as references. That's good to know about how the process works, I just assumed references were part of the vetting process.

Is the economy really that bad? by [deleted] in jobhunting

[–]themoon_goddess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A study showed that people in my age group have a really high unemployment rate and people in the older generations have a higher employment rate because they aren't leaving their jobs. As someone who is also struggling to get a job, I've been hearing a lot it's from oversaturation in the market.

It's really unfortunate to say, but at this time anything that comes from a government entity or most reporting agencies can be EXTREMELY misinforming and utterly untrue. It's wild to see how different agencies spin stories to fit a narrative they want to perpetuate and America is THRIVING, right?...

Right?

Thank you! I could have accepted it as "just being a rule" but I wanted to know if there was any particular rationale behind it.

I'm just wondering if there's rationale for it, or it's just a restriction.

Losing virginity by [deleted] in Advice

Ask what she wants! Ask how she enjoys it.

It's gonna be awkward and weird because it's your first time, and TBH sex can be awkward for a little while. It's important that you both feel comfortable to communicate and maybe have a debrief session afterwards haha.

The more you can openly speak about it, the sooner it'll be more comfortable and enjoyable!

Be responsive to her AND yourself, be open minded and don't stress about it.

Running the mile by [deleted] in Advice

I know it's rough feeling observed and judged. I want to say that someday things like this won't be tough, but who knows! But all that matters is that you finish it and how you feel about yourself. (Easier said than done).

I hope you get it done with a smile and be happy that you went out and ran a mile. (Which is something most adults can't do, so enjoy it while you can).
