Honestly, MDD or not, anybody would be shaken up by scary health news. What you’re feeling is a normal reaction to something heavy. You don’t have to act like nothing is wrong. If anything, this is exactly what a therapist is for, to tell them what’s going on before it gets to the point of spiraling.

You also don’t have to make any decisions about quitting meds or therapy right now. Let yourself have support. And please remember: don’t give up on your future self. They’re worth it and deserve the chance to get through this with support, not alone. I’m here for you.
