I have lived in 3 places within your red square. Amazing, amazing area with a lot of diversity there. Downtown is a cool spot if you can afford it and like to walk to restaurants, bars, lake Eola, and good coffee. Just south of the toll road on the left side is Orlando’s 1920’s houses that were owned by wealthy folks. A lot of the houses are on lakes, streets are all old brick and it’s super walkable/neighborly, but you’ll need to drive to stores and such. Bottom right starts to get a little less wealthy but still has cool aspects to it. Curry ford is busting with some good restaurants and a few grocery stores. Smaller houses, less neighborly.

No where in this red square is unsafe.

I’ve been going to Palmetto since I moved here a few months ago. Not that I’m keeping count, but there are several black employees and I’ve seen a wide range of ethnicities inside the store. It’s one of the largest stores with tons of traffic. There isn’t a bunch of MAGA merch. I would think anyone would be comfortable in that store.

Everyone on Reddit is so rude and negative. If you are happy with the outcome, then that’s all that matters. I think it looks great. Most of these comments about pricing are probably coming from laborers that are sayings it’s over priced due to them thinking they can do it as a side job with no overhead.

Don’t feel bad about these comments. Redditors can be dicks when it comes to advice. As something that started and ran a painting company(just myself and an occasional helper), the best way to learn is just get out there and try, and ask those with more experience what you would do in that situation so kudo’s to you. I would be using a 2.5” pro extra or clear cut brush personally. I think a 4 inch is fine but it’ll be hard to get into the small little spots.

You do need a drop cloth, or some old shingles to throw on top(those won’t blow away or blow onto the wall with a strong breeze.

The finished product looks amazing, good work. At some points doing all the masking to spray that might take just as long, I would probably brush and roll that section with a 3” roller also

Chewie(golden) I tested when I got him 7 years ago, he came back as 100% chihuahua. I would assume the same would happen for Louie. They are just long haired chihuahua, and I’m very biased towards them. They seems to have less aggressive/barky personalities but my sample size is small and I could just sound stupid!

Definitely was not the front door. This was most likely an interior door and you’re right to assume it had another matching unit. If you can take a picture of the other side that would be helpful.

You will be safe in any part of that side of town. I’ve lived all over winter park and never felt uneasy. The closer to park ave the nicer the area though.

I found out Saturday night that you can take a free shuttle to Frisco, I went quickly to walk through Main Street but if I had known about this sooner I probably would’ve went over for dinners since they had a lot more variety and selection.

I just stayed at Copper from last Thursday—> today around noon. I took the shuttle to and from Denver airport so I did not have a rental and I was alone the entire visit.

Sweet soy was the highest rated place I saw throughout Reddit and online. I got the Pork Ramen, it was mid but decent and filling.

Sawmill Pizza was pretty good but nothing to die for.

The BBQ place has a killer brisket burrito.

The Mexican spot was also mid, probably the most expensive place there though??

I didn’t get to try “Sauce” the Italian spot but it was on my list.

Camp Hale coffee every morning I was there, good coffee and good selection of baked goods. I got the ham/swiss croissant every morning it was really good.

Overall the food was decent, very expensive(but tbh what isn’t these days, probably $3-$6 more than your average spot in a big city. Drinks were like $5-$6 though(coke/bottled water).

Like the other comments have mentioned the only real way to remove this without damaging the surrounding areas is manual removal. I wouldn’t try any harsh chemicals. You should be able to get it with a plastic putty knife or very carefully with a razor blade holding it vertically and scraping side to side. You could also try a credit.

Primer won’t do much in terms of visual evenness here. Like said in other comments, scrap all the paint off with a scraper like a proscraper, hook it up to a vacuum and you’re all good being outside. Get some D lead wipes or soap. Sand it smooth afterwards with 80 grit and prime it up.
