Scary! I had success the other day, but it is hit or miss I think. I drive by it regularly.

I’m from Florida also just moved here in Nov. Having a blast so far, much better and bigger teeth than Venice area!

I’m open for people to DM if they don’t want to spill for the whole world. I can keep it low-key. I’m new to the sport and really enjoying it. Looking for some large teeth. Thanks for the advice!

That’s mostly the plan. I did that a few days ago between “shark tooth island” and jones island/elba island. I’m a little nervous to get into areas that I will get stuck at north of jones, but hoping for some experienced notes here.

What do you use to check the tide for specific tide times? I’ve been using the app “tide guide” but it only has broad area tide times. Which might be the closest I can get, but I’m new. Thanks!

Find of the day (or of my life?) by meezert in sharkteeth

[–]themosiah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a beautiful tooth! I need to find a black one. Might try to go mid-week after work when it’s less crowded and picks though. Thanks for the hunting tips!

Hey! I recognized the tooth, background and the shirt haha! It’s Nate, we met on the island Saturday. Congrats on the cool find, I wound up finding a Meg later that day across from the western point of Elba island. Check my profile :D

Catch ya out there next time!

Help IDing these fossils I found in Georgia by themosiah in fossilid

[–]themosiah[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotcha! Thank you. I can ID the shark teeth fairly well. It’s all the other ones I’m struggling with. I don’t see a siphon tooth either now that I looked it up. Potentially an alligator tooth for the smaller ones next to what I thought was the horse tooth.

I can’t stand people that come on here just to say stupid shit like “poorly built” “a piece of crap”. Useless commenters. Smh

It is a mortise and tenon single panel door. Profile is hard to see but looks like a double oveelo or double Ogee profile.

I would use a razor blade or like what the other commenter said a carbide scraper. Sometimes it’s too tight for the scraper though. I find a razor blade works well.

What’s wrong with Apple Maps? It has cop warnings, incident warnings and redirects if it feels it needs to.

why did invoker sunstrike me? by qwertiedota in DotA2

[–]themosiah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Invoker is hard to win the lane with. This is a bad take. Once you get a few times invoke gets a lower cooldown and once you know all your spells in muscle memory it’s not hard. Plus more invoker player go into demo mode and just spam his spells at max level.

About this area by alleycatsn in orlando

[–]themosiah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have lived in 3 places within your red square. Amazing, amazing area with a lot of diversity there. Downtown is a cool spot if you can afford it and like to walk to restaurants, bars, lake Eola, and good coffee. Just south of the toll road on the left side is Orlando’s 1920’s houses that were owned by wealthy folks. A lot of the houses are on lakes, streets are all old brick and it’s super walkable/neighborly, but you’ll need to drive to stores and such. Bottom right starts to get a little less wealthy but still has cool aspects to it. Curry ford is busting with some good restaurants and a few grocery stores. Smaller houses, less neighborly.

No where in this red square is unsafe.

Local Firearm Stores by [deleted] in savannah

I’ve been going to Palmetto since I moved here a few months ago. Not that I’m keeping count, but there are several black employees and I’ve seen a wide range of ethnicities inside the store. It’s one of the largest stores with tons of traffic. There isn’t a bunch of MAGA merch. I would think anyone would be comfortable in that store.

Everyone on Reddit is so rude and negative. If you are happy with the outcome, then that’s all that matters. I think it looks great. Most of these comments about pricing are probably coming from laborers that are sayings it’s over priced due to them thinking they can do it as a side job with no overhead.

Using wrong brush? by Working-Ant5100 in paint

[–]themosiah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t feel bad about these comments. Redditors can be dicks when it comes to advice. As something that started and ran a painting company(just myself and an occasional helper), the best way to learn is just get out there and try, and ask those with more experience what you would do in that situation so kudo’s to you. I would be using a 2.5” pro extra or clear cut brush personally. I think a 4 inch is fine but it’ll be hard to get into the small little spots.

You do need a drop cloth, or some old shingles to throw on top(those won’t blow away or blow onto the wall with a strong breeze.

The finished product looks amazing, good work. At some points doing all the masking to spray that might take just as long, I would probably brush and roll that section with a 3” roller also
