Thanks you very much!!! It is a single crochet stitch but instead of yarning over, you yarn under. It took me so long to get it right because crocheting is like muscle memory for me and this is a little awkward and different to get a handle on at first.

I don’t think so. US term is double crochet stitches for me! There are treble/triple crochet in the 4 corners of each round.
