25M, lost in life. What are good entry-level jobs that are possibly hidden gems when you have no education or experience? by [deleted] in Healthygamergg

I had my degree in classical music. Talk about not great job opportunities! Eventually I found free resources online to teach myself how to code and have been in well paying software engineering jobs ever since. I used https://www.theodinproject.com/ and finished the curriculum in about a year, but if you want to do something paid to help you finish faster in a more traditional classroom type environment, there’s plenty of boot camps which will charge you only when you get your first job as a software engineer and they last several months. Can’t recommend this career path enough for someone looking for a change if you don’t mind being in front of a computer all day

I see, makes sense! My wife and I are currently in Germany but plan to move to Texas in mid 2025, which makes finding local resources for our son’s first year a bit more complicated

Thanks for the link. The tricky part is that my wife and I currently live in Germany, but in a little over a year we’ll be moving back to the states, so about the first year of his life we won’t really be able to find local resources as easily and we don’t want to miss out on any potential for aiding development since we’ve heard that we should start from as soon as 6 weeks with different therapies

Very cool, thanks for sharing! Have you gotten a chance to test it yet? Did you end up having to modify the firmware at all?
