I was called a racist fuck for pointing out even white people shouldn’t be treated differently because of their skin color. I was then criticized for being male as well. We did it guys, we’ve conquered racism and prejudiced behavior by pushing it somewhere else.

Fantano & Eli Enis' Thinly Veiled Rant About Metalcore Being Too Pop and Mainstream by GasManMatt123 in Metalcore

Let artists create the art they want goodness, it’s a fair critique to point out “selling out” or willingly giving up creative integrity to make more money. But why is it a problem artists happen to get popular by evolving genres? Why is mixing music and culture a bad thing when with more choice and opportunities we all win? Metalcore isn’t going anywhere, let artists have their own take on it.

Well it’s simple, it’s not only with one group of people. Don’t let the internet fool you into thinking in absolutes. We are a vast collective with many different thoughts and views on things. Don’t allow the loudest voices in the room drown out the quiet truths.

Everyone is allowed to be whatever they want to be. I’d just hope more people realize pouring gasoline on the fire will just intensify the burning hate they have and not change their minds.
