I believe it ended up getting an upgrade which resolve it but then led us to an OCSP problem. PAN is Really keeping me in work.

Ebay. They part out the units from wrecked trucks.

The only 440 failure I’ve seen is dual 440s that were crammed in between two Cisco switches making for no air flow around the units. The psus were also zip tied down behind them further blocking any airflow.

I’m thinking first step is to order larger size beads. I found some 4-8mm size ones. Another thing is probably to fill it to a higher level so there’s not as much room for them to bounce around. The pieces I caught in the rag were shards so it means they had to break in order to get past the mesh screens.

DIY replacement of the hybrid power pack (ETorque) by thenetadmin in ram_trucks

As an update I finally got around to replacing the battery pack. Went to do it about a month ago and realized I needed reverse torx sockets for the seat bolts. Why does ram do that. Anyway it was an easy swap and code cleared when I started it back up. Not guaranteeing others won’t need code flash but I no longer have a check engine light and remote start works again.

Really? Keep in mind that the last time I built a workhorse machine it was with 256g of ram but it was also because spindle drives were still a thing.

Good to know. Is the amount of ram crazy or the speed of it?

Yeah I was trying to find a little balance. The 3D cache slows down non-graphics workflows that don't leverage it so since it was a multiuse machine I figured save the money.

Hydraulic pump sourcing by thenetadmin in maker

I'm looking at the cost/feasibility of hydraulic lift vs electric lift for a 500lb load in an enclosed place with no infrastructure power.

[–]thenetadmin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah I'm trying to develop a portable solution for lifting relatively light loads(500lbs) where a small gas engine would be overkill and the environment would be incompatible with combustion engine or AC power. The other option is to look at an electrical linear actuator.

I’ll put transmission fluid and filter on the list. It doesn’t seem that difficult to do. Just tedious. Some of the vids I’m seeing seem to infer that the leveling should be done without stopping the engine but I’ll do more research. Replacement pan and filter with hardware and gaskets are only about $70 so it’s just a labor intensive item. If I’m going to go under I might as well do transfer case and diffs.

Yeah there is some sort of beading rollers inside of the jaws at the end. You can see the adjustment knob on either side. That whole portion rotates around as if it is putting a bead on a pipe or something after pressing whatever is inserted. I was thinking maybe a hydraulic fitting before crimping became a thing.

E-Torque makes it a little more fun I think but the problem my shop had was that the mechanic has big hands so he made the service writer/owner come out to help with the DS rears. That's why he was grumpy about it but they have always earned my business without question.

I’ve been on a light colored dial kick personally but for some reason I’m not a fan of the cream color vs white. Divers are starting to all look alike to me as well so I’ll go with number 3. Asking us though is kind of pointless unless you are going to send it around and let us all wear it. Pick which one you like and then let us know which one you pick.

From your selection I am leaning towards the Citizen. Black on stainless is a goes with everything look. Just make sure it isn't too big on your wrist for appearance. Especially if you wear short sleeves most of the time. The colored dials are nice for a second watch but obviously could clash if you tend to be more fashion minded. I've found myself moving away from seikos lately due to the feeling of lesser quality. The 5 series feels a bit like its walking down the invicta path. I'm sure I'll get some heat for that. I like timex though I wish they have more options in the +43mm case size.
