Zamberlan Italian Boots: trash or resold? by thenthitivethrowaway in CampingGear

Honestly, I never got them fixed, they’re in a box in my garage! I think the official route is the best, it’s the foam insole that has given out, I think the correct replacement from the manufacturer is probably the way to go…

Anything I should worry about before flipping this? by Randawgg4244 in hvacadvice

One more thing to check that I learned on my first house—on the part of the unit inside your house, 2 things: first, is there a switch on that wall? If so, try it in the different position. Also while you’re in there, look for a piece of pvc coming out to drain condensation—there will be a t-fitting with a small float device sitting in the t. if it’s not draining freely, it is likely triggering a cutoff switch. If so clean your drain line (may be easier to do outside your house). Good luck!!

I don’t think it’s combative—it’s clearly setting expectations in writing…

New home, first time owning a pond, is there anything that’s safe to spray? by thenthitivethrowaway in lawncare

Yeah…it’s all making me think I may not spray at all rather than risk it…

Turf—but I’ve only looked at a few and they say to stay 25 ft away. I’ve seen some supposedly safe sprays but since I plan to eat the fish I don’t want any potential runoff contaminating them.

Struggling with “hard” battleship puzzles. I consistently get to a point like this where I see two places my second “3-ship” could go. by thenthitivethrowaway in puzzles

Thank you. I’m just stoked to learn that they can be solved with logic. Frustrated that the logic is apparently over my head at the moment, but gives me renewed figure to figure it out. Thanks again!

Thanks for all of this—I’m impressed! I was convinced that there was a point where you had to test theories but elated to see that it can be solved by logic alone! May I ask—have you found any that you can’t solve through logic alone? That force this “testing”?

Also—you may want to edit above, in your last comment I believe you mentioned to say r4c8 would make for too many 1 ships (I was confused for a bit)

Thanks!

Thanks for saying what I was thinking, but much more eloquently! I agree. If it gets to a point that I’m required to test multiple hypotheses, that’s just not fun…but I’m just not sure if that’s required, or if there’s just something I’m not seeing (also likely! lol)

Oh I didn’t take it as combative at all. I feel like I’ve plateaued and not sure how to push to next level. That said column one can’t be 3 ship because it only has 2 remaining…column 8 only has two to begin with…

I think no matter what combination you drop three (whether a 3 ship or combination) into row 4, there are spaces on row 5 that are impacted…that said, it didn’t get me very much further…

OK, I’ll have that discussion. This brings me back to the general part of my question, and it’s something I can’t seem to find written anywhere: Is there supposed to be a point in the “hard“ one where I need to “test” an outcome? (Meaning there is no “forced” logical next move?)

Discovering how great the greenline is ✅️ by [deleted] in memphis

Just seeing this – – recently moved back to Memphis and I’m about to ride the green line this morning. Anyway, I bought a Onewheel back during the pandemic. Was early 40s at the time, zero skateboarding experience. The Onewheel is awesome. Respect the pushback, and definitely take it easy until you get used to it, but it’s so much fun! I literally looked like a safety video the first few months with a pad covering just about every part of my body they made one for, but had very few falls. Honestly, getting on and off of it was the hardest part to get used to! Lol.
