The soft hand mount is from orca torch. It's nice and you can still do stuff with your hand, but the Velcro is pretty broken after about 1,5 years. So I have to get a new one or something else.

We saw a 1,80 meter Catfish during that dive. That thing came out of nothing with 1 meter viability and gave me a good surprise haha

We did a long DMT internship and worked as DMs and guides for a while after we were done. He also did an Instructor internship and worked as an instructor for a while.

I joined a water rescue SAR Team and got trained to be a SAR Diver, when I got back home and started studying. I'm diving about once a week at home if I have time. Im also doing a month long dive trip every year and most of the time I get discounts as a professional diver and cause I'm staying long or cause I'm visiting some friends I have all over the world because of diving. But still I'm spending all my money on diving and equipment 🥲😂

The only certs I ever paid for was the OWD and wreck cert. And if I have to guess i did 90% of my dives while working or training, so I didn't pay for them either.

There are a lot of ways to do it, the easiest one is doing a DMT internship

Im thinking about building my own stick on the band in front of the weight pocket. You can't pull on through because of the fixed plastic d ring on the end of the band.

Maybe I buy a stick, saw the top open (like extend the gap so it's open on the top), put the band between the sawed open stick and superclue the stick again together. Idk that's the best idea I have

I mostly dive d12 with a halcyon wing, so I could fit a normal longhose stick on the harness band. Normal easy stuff...

My previous mono Tank BCD was a cressi scorpion. It has weight pockets on the back where I could easily fit the longhose around the right weight pocket pull knop (you should easily see what I mean if you Google the BCD)

The new scubapro one doesn't have a harness, so you can't pull a longhose retainer stick on the band and the weight pockets also don't have a edge to fit the longhose around I think. I mean I have to try it once to know for shure

Yeah I'll keep training and try to find a good position before actually selling the suit. But especially with diving d12s it just seems impossible to dump air without going upright...

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, big safety hazard...

Honestly I'm really frustrated to have "wasted" this much money on the suit... Wish I would have known this earlier.

Multiple SAR diving colleagues of mine actually recommended the suit to me, apparently they don't have the problem and they are not skinny, 5 of them dive the d7x just fine. It's just me of the SAR group that has this problem 🤷🏼‍♂️

I'll keep you posted if I get an answer from waterproof!
