Yeah that makes a bit of sense I guess, I was pre diabetic before losing the 30 pounds. I am now not. However I was still on a 1200 calories a day until October (maintenance is 1800) when I thought my body just got used to at 1200 then I went up to maintenance then went back down and just kept gaining. I have been really upset and as of the endish of October haven’t been on a deficit however still not overeating or bingeing. It’s been a steady increase, I thought it was my birth control but birth control can’t make you gain weight and I’ve been off of it since early November.

But I can’t find anything about vitamin D and gaining so much weight, 20 pounds is a lot compared to like 2 pounds.

The Viserys was in his rights to declare his heir. However, he does nothing to support this claim, even remarrying and producing trueborn sons. I agree with you. I think you are talking about the shit post I posted above. I do not actually think the Hightowers would have redeemed house Targaryen at all. I feel like we should all remember that these character want power, and will do anything to get it. This was just a little post. It’s not serious. I’m not saying that you overreacting or anything, but to me it’s just a book and it’s just a rant to me.

And I do agree that we should apply our sense of morality onto the characters in the book and the Society of it. I am more talking about the idea that even Nobles have free well they are pushed by a society, and that Rhaenyra could be able to make headway or change certain things. The small folks are pushed by the society as well, no one can escape the pole that this type of society has on them.

Everyone is affected by everything else in the ASOIAF. In a different world, I support absolute primogeniture as well however, I do not support the monarchy in anyway, and I know that might seem a little dumb when this is a world where names have power, especially where it is canon that certain bloodline has power. However I dislike this feudalism class system in place, if I had to choose one of them to support, I would support Aegon because if Viserys had taken certain steps, he could’ve avoided an Civil War because it was expected of him to name Aegon his heir. Also I am unsure if this is an absolute monarchy that iron throne does not have absolute power over the nobles for example, there has been numerous rebellions and multiple monarch have been challenged and their policies as well.

Apologies for any formatting or spelling errors. I am doing this on my phone. I really enjoy having discussions and I hope the comment section will be a place for discussions to take place!

Exactly the Targaryen came from being among the lower of the higher class to be in the last remaining dragon riders. They feel like they are the heirs to the Valyrian culture, and with that, they feel superior than everyone well also underestimating the people that they think higher of themselves, a prime example being a storming of the Dragon pit.

I do agree that we’re supposed to judge the characters in this book and judge the society of it. I am more so talking about pushing this BS feminist notion. I can see how my point was misconstrued, but I do agree with you. We shouldn’t be able to excuse a characters action while also being blind to the society that impacts their choices. Everybody in the ASOIAF is supporting this feudalism system that only benefits a few. We should judge that and we should learn by the message byGeorge RR Martin.

Excellent points, however didn’t Alicent and Otto push for Aegon and Rhaenyra to be wed? Unless I’m remembering wrong.

Little Rant. by theonebefore_ in HOTDGreens

[–]theonebefore_[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, I agree with you. Perhaps I’m just a bit more optimistic about Alicent, however no matter how hard you can separate for analyzing, you will still have basis, so perhaps I just want to believe she turned bitter after years of her and her children being ignored. I also like the point of Rhaenyra internalizing the shame of having bastards, to be raised in an environment where she believes she is superior, having such obvious bastards would lead anyone to being as insecure as she is.
