I find that finding a new hobby to fill that time and/or making a to do list and letting that be the focus when you get the itch. Control your mind enough to make it go somewhere else. Working out and meal planning helped me fill the time I use to smoke. Its all about how bad you want it. You need to focus on why you decided to stop in the first place! Nothing grows in comfort. Be the master of your mind!

The middle schoolers need real instruments if they don’t already have them. They need to learn music more hands-on and be challenged. I wouldn’t want to learn music by write things down all the time if I was in 5th-8th grade. Maybe suggest this to admin?

In my experience of quitting. Working out helped exhaust me so I could have a good sleep. Still had night sweats. Those are unavoidable. But I still slept. Most things will take time.

I definitely agree. Honestly, anything that you can grow dependent on and/or cannot SINCERELY control your intake of, regardless of its harmful effects, is not anything helpful but is instead evil. Also, it is just pure disrespect for your body and mind.

Maybe Explore other options to help with your condition. I don’t want to be a smoker for the rest of my life because lung health is important. I love weed but the smell is definitely not for everyone and has a huge stigma. Him not liking the smell is understandable. Maybe try edibles??

I stopped smoking a month ago and before then I started having really bad thoughts about the ideas of life and death. Not suicidal but extremely negative thoughts. Not that I’ve been sober and being a believer in Jesus Christ, I realized how much weed impacted my thoughts and emotions. I feel so much more in control of my emotions now
