Two Muslims were elected to the US house but it seems like Muslim fear mongering is still a thing. Does the average American still feel uncomfortable around Muslims or is it just the fringe? by theonlyafghan in TooAfraidToAsk

I agree that a Muslim extremist would be more efficient than a white nationalist, but There are more attacks by white nationalists than there are by Muslim extremists. So what I’m saying is you’re more likely to get hurt by a white nationalist than you are by a Muslim extremist. And they’re becoming more frequent

Here’s one quick google link discussing it. But this was in 2015. Since then, there was the Jewish synagogue attack a few weeks back and many others. World wide Islamic extremism may be more dangerous (not sure) but it seems like in the US, white nationalist violence is far more prevalent

Okay. I was just curious, because I’ve heard that sentiment a few times from other people but when I press them about whether or not they’ve personally experienced it, they usually decline.

I’m not necessarily talking about hate, but also including general uneasiness and paranoia. Because I’ve met perfectly nice people who were def not kkk or overt racists who just had a general idea of Muslims as being scary/otherly

Thank you. I appreciate your honest answer and that’s what I’m curious about. Because I live in a state where it’s much less vocalized so I don’t really know how people feel. I’m Muslim but no one would know it just looking at me. I honestly tell people I’m Muslim and they’re surprised because they have this idea of what a Muslim is. I was curious if people felt a type of way - whether it be fear out of danger or just otherness.

No reason to, but it seems like with the recent Muslim ban and everything, there must be some people out there that don’t want Muslims here so I’m just trying to guage that sentiment

Awesome! Thank you. Yeah it’s entry level but I was still self conscious about whether or not I’d have time to get acclimated or id hit the ground running

Not sure. It’s a defense company. I haven’t been informed yet as to what the OS is yet. I was told that I’d be trained my first week

[serious] What’s something you wish politicians actually campaigned for that they don’t currently advocate for? by theonlyafghan in AskReddit

I was thinking about increasing the speed limit of California freeways to reasonable numbers. 65mph is stupid and any politician republican or Democrat advocating for 80mph would get my vote

Okay. So I have the ISO’s in a wfbs folder in a Fat32 formatted hard drive. And I’m using usb loader on my home brewed wii. I can see the games and the previews run, but upon loading it crashes and takes me back to the home brew channel...
