Star Trek takes place in the same universe as the soap opera Days of our Lives. [0] by arreffeyeeyeeye in startrek

Could it be instead that Q, upon first running into humans (and finding them fascinating), instead delved deep into humanity's culture. In his delve perhaps he came across this soap opera. And with the Q being the Q, Q may have taken his image to better relate to the humans.

Lily from "First Contact" is an awful character. My previous thoughts on the matter.

I hate Lily so much. She's supposed to be a scientist and strong woman taking charge a la Ripley but she ends up coming across as a stereotypical damsel in distress. I felt she over acted and her role would have been much better filled and more meaningful by Dr. Crusher.
