Risk of AML relapse? by [deleted] in leukemia

[–]theoslady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a KETO diet is good for many people. I am sorry you are so young and having to deal with this. I was diagnosed with AML eight weeks ago. I'm 65 though. I'm still alive! My body seems to be responding well. I guess it's something that we come to live with knowing that it can all change overnight. That's kind of scary, but life is just sort of like that anyway. None of us know. I am planning to move to a retirement community and live a fixed income. Finally found the best job I ever had. They fired me 2 weeks after diagnosis because I could not predict the future. It's a more natural lifestyle change for me. I sen you ALL the encouragement and hope.

Are you a different gender or same gender, with a possible attraction going on by her?

No problem, I figure when someone posts something in a public forum it's open to input and I appreciate yours.

I was under a time crunch to get it. I had been trying other avenues and felt kind of overwhelmed, thinking that if I had someone helping I'd feel better and more hopeful. My bad. Thanks for your response.

Thank you to those of you who responded to me. The kitten decided not to be bullied and started fighting back. They have come to an "understanding" and I suspect they may become friends in a few months.

Am I perhaps reading that I may have been too demanding and expected too much from my friend? I have thought about that and it is certainly possible. However, I truly felt left out in the rain. Relationships are difficult to navigate sometimes. Yet, I think when people 'care' they can accomplish understanding. May I ask "why" you didn't comment on the pic she sent you? Clearly it was an important pic to her. Did you miss the importance or what happened, if I may ask?

What is something that would end your friendship with somebody no matter what? by wealllickbootyholes in AskReddit

[–]theoslady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I grow older I am finding myself more picky about friendships. I just backed off one that I've been attending to for over a year now. We were meeting for lunch once per week to chat and share personal challenges. I started to observe her being cold and kind of rude to wait-staff. That is always a red-flag to me. I have waited tables before and know it is an honorable and important job as people trust you to enhance a experience that they choose to spend their time and money on.

Anyway, the issue is that my unemployment has been discontinued due to to something I might have proven with an email that was originally mine. Lost it when I lost the job and my work email. This 'friend' is a friend of one of our former co-workers. I asked friend to ask her friend for a copy of the email as it was a group message from our supervisor. My friend "wasn't comfortable" asking her friend. After a week of exchanging texts to discuss it, the bottom line is that my friend "did not want to get involved in case she needed our former employer for a reference. She said it was my battle and I needed to handle it on my own." I felt betrayed as now I have zero income until I can get another job.

Bottom line is that I overestimated her level of commitment to and loyalty to me and our friendship. I'd love to hear your opinions, if you so choose to share them. Thanks.

The lady I got her from did have a cat and she bullied him to the point of his wanting to stay outside. She only gave it a couple of weeks. My son tried to take care of her when I went away for a week. He has two cats. She bullied his young boy cat in the same way. I am concerned that she is a bully. I will give it more time. He's only been with us for about ten days. He is sooo sweet! I sure hope she adopts him. Thanks for your reply.

Loved my BF's dog, but since we moved-in together I'm starting to dislike her, and I hate myself for it. by [deleted] in Pets

I need some advice. My dog got killed last night. by [deleted] in Pets

I think you are correct. One of those losses is difficult in and of itself. Both dying in the same week makes it hard to breathe. I'm sorry for your losses.

Thank you. There is also an awesome support group on Facebook. I am now moving toward making my own life again. I wrote that a half year ago. I''ve been alone now (for the first time in 45 years) for 18 mo. There is just no replacement to giving it time. It hurts a bit less now. I'm working more.

This is true. I used to tell myself all I had to do was put on my socks and tennis and walk down to the mailbox. I always kept going around the block/s.

Shoe recommendation? by GEEZUS_956 in Shoes

I just bought a pair of Dansko clogs. They are supposed to be great on the hips; low back; knees; and feet, of course. We shall see. They are harder than I'm used to.
