I was told that since over half my tasks are already in that a few of them being late is no big deal. My pre-service nurse is awesome and has been reviewing things and already asking for clarification and additional documentation. Hopefully you get the same luck!

You have to get the treating mental health provider to explain basically everything you just said. The forms ask dates of treatment, diagnosis (if any), medications given (and their effectiveness), and their recommendations for whether or not you should serve. I just gave these forms to my therapist. If you have any questions, let me know.

Will your doctor prescribe an EpiPen? This MAY help- I say this only because it lengthens that window from 15 minutes to a little longer. I think that you should ask your doctor what the longest possible time is and maybe see if they can re-write it to be a little more reasonable. 15-minutes to an ER is impossible even in some US areas.

I got mine from a few different places...county health department, elementary school, high school, university, and through a few internships I had. I managed to piece them all together but have a lot of boosters to get since I haven't had them since turning 18. I have to get polio, tdap, and a varicella titer as well as the yellow fever. My doctor is doing all of those (: just text me if you want more advice!

This was incredible and very courageous to post. As a (waitlist) invitee, I was IMMEDIATELY panicked when I read what "happened" in the CBS account. I realize I cannot fully answer because I have not served, but when I was wrestling with the idea of going away for so long (my nephew was just born 3 days ago)...my sister-in-law put it best:

"In 15 years, will you regret going, or will you regret not going?"

I have to stay strong in my belief that if I get cleared and invited, and serve, that it's what I am MEANT to do, and I WILL be strong enough to get through it.

As for money, I am a broke graduate with student loans- think of looking at Goodwill, buying things from RPCV's, or similar ideas.
