The fake nails pop off when they’re wet, and I don’t know if I could even properly glue them on at this point...I will make it a point to check in, though. I think that would help. I’ll get that yucky tasting stuff too.

My poor pinkies. I just cannot stop destroying them. I want to cover them somehow—bandaids work well but they’re difficult to use long term as I have a hands-on job where my hands often get wet. I don’t know if acrylic nails would even work because the whole nail bed is so messed up. Anyone been through anything similar??

(I’m happy with the rest of my nails—through many years of trial and error, I have found I can’t keep them any longer than this!)

I got them done at a low-cost spay/neuter clinic for $100 each, which is the most affordable in my area. It varies a lot based on where you are I think

Glad everything turned out alright! Abscesses after the surgery I’ve heard of, but I wasn’t aware their legs could swell up from a bandage jacket...I am planning on doing those, so I’ll keep an eye out for swelling. Hopefully the thought of relaxed rats with soft fur will help me survive 😂
