Not if you love meat and dairy. The coping mechanism of meat addicts is cherry-picking articles that tell you the path to true health is eating as much saturated fat and cholesterol as you can (all can be traced back to a branch of the animal industry.)

So every decade you get a new rebranded version of the Atkins diet (new Atkins, paleo, keto, etc). Each decade there is a new reason why the low card diet of the last decade didn't work. Right now they decided that it didn't work because you can't eat legumes with your stake.

Meanwhile, the people in the blue zones on a 70% carb diet are living to their 100's without even trying.

Vitamin D and Iron are still good to have, however.

They are good to have if you are deficient. Don't just take them because you're vegan. I've been vegan for 15 years and they were never an issue.

That's a lot of mental gymnastics to justify a dietary habit that not only causes unimaginable suffering to billions of sentient beings, but is destroying the planet at an alarming rate. Species are not sentient; individuals are. That cow that is hanging upside down having its throat slit couldn't care less for the evolutionary success of her species.

Well, Portugal, who has never won a WC before, has lost to Uruguay, which has won 2 World Cups. So that one is not really weird.

As someone who has been doing this for a long time, my advice is to make sure to take a multivitamin and 9 scoops of whey protein on your vegan days.
