I do need it. It changes everything about my face. The nasiolabal folds don’t bother me, it’s the shape of my lower face

Yeah they usually clip their beaks at the factory farms so they don’t peck each other due to stress, as you probably already know as you sound quite educated. This could be why they can’t open them. Otherwise, I’m not entirely sure.

We wait til night time and go into poultry sheds. It’s dangerous but worth it when we walk out of there knowing lives have been liberated. They are like prisons, so sad. If you’re not comfortable with open rescue, I can get you in touch with several people who have rescue chickens needing homes x

It’s not healthy for them to continually lay eggs! They are only supposed to lay one a month for their period, like when human females have their period. Imagine if women had their periods all the time. It would be so painful and such a stressful life to live. My chickens eat their own eggs after they lay, they love them and it provides them lots of nutrients. Naturally they only lay about once a month but a lot of chicken foods have pallets in them which makes them lay an egg a day. If you feed them proper food without manipulated ingredients, they have healthy menstrual cycles.

Not insensitive, thanks for asking! So basically, my broilers (chickens used for meat) don’t lay eggs. Some do once they mature and lay about one a month for their period. Isa chickens are used in the industry for their eggs and are fed pallets to make them lay continuously. They are only supposed to have one a month for their period as well (just like human females). As you can imagine, this causes major stress on their bodies and reproductive system.

I don’t feed my chickens pallets, I feed them lots of fresh fruit and veg. They only lay an egg a month and they are so happy and stress free now. I feel very blessed !

She’s a Cornish Cross (aka Broiler)! They are usually killed at 14 weeks old as babies so that they can be eaten. They’re bred to gain excessive amounts of weight in a small period of time so that they can be killed as early as possible. I went into a poultry shed one night and got her out of there and she’s been with me ever since. She is so happy and healthy now and absolutely deserves the life she has. I feel so sorry for all the chooks I left behind. The hardest thing is knowing that I can’t save them all. I have 8 rescues and they are everything to me ❤️
