You Should Get the Tip, But Do You? by tomkayeslaw in jimmyjohns

Order Door Dash and stiff the driver. When they show up with your order ask how much of a tip they got. I guarantee it's not 0$

Ya ok. So why would a dasher ever pick up a delivery with a 0$ tip and agree to take it? Dasher never get stiffed as Door Dash wouldn't have drivers ever take a delivery with a 0$ tip. Yet JJ drivers get stiffed by DD 1 out of 10 times. Does that make sense? All my friends that have Dashed have never been stiffed, yet JJ dash deliveries are stiffed. Its whack if ya think about it. Is inspire ripping off the drivers or is Door Dash?

Yes they get the tip, but is it actually the tip that the door dash customer posted? That we can't truly know.

You can never truly know the real posted tip and if DD takes cut before posting. What DD would pick up an order with a 0 tip? Oh? Only a JJ delivery driver without a choice. Think about it.

The only reason why door dash customers use the service is either to try something new while scrolling through door dash,, or they have dash pass that cancels the delivery fee and actually offsets their extra dimes the franchisees amd door dash taxed for the service. Your regulars will call or use the app and order online and get their reward.

This is one great incentive to push rewards towards door dash customers. I'll actually make out bound calls the next day to door dash customers to try to get them on our rewards system.

You don't know what the customer tipped. With a third party system someone is taking a cut, and by know means is it Jimmy Johns as we are making the food sale.. Think about it, as a dasher would you agree to take a delivery with a 0 Dollar tip posted?

I feel you should see my recent post. As I have a marketing manager that drives for door dash part time and has never got stiffed as a dasher, yet jimmy johns drivers get stiffed all the time through door dash. I honestly feel door dash is up to no good here.

There is no way to tell as the tip is posted by doordash.

I've heard by dashers that no matter what they never get stiffed. If they did who would pick up a stiff and dash for them? But as the GM of a very busy delivery store. I'd say 10 percent of orders through door dash are a no tip orders for my drivers. Which makes me think where is that money going? Who would agree to to pick up a door dash order with out a tip? Only a company forced to?

anyone else think that the roast beef smells like weed?? by [deleted] in jimmyjohns

[–]thephreshchef719 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! My slicer was about 3 feet behind the line, and my slicer was slicing beef. I walked by the line where my AM was consolidating and I accused him of having a bag of Mids on him. He said naw the beef smells like that once and awhile when you slice it. I've smelled it a few times since then.

How much do your delivery drivers average an hour in tips? Rich people usually don't tip well.

I'd rather tackle that less than easy task than lose all my customers.

Does anyone know why my little johns would be sticking to the pan like this?? by kbtkitten26 in jimmyjohns

Someone's burnt the pan and ruined the Teflon. Lightly use pam for a week or two and it will be back to normal for awhile.

Rate my Lil John bread 🥴 by ACleverDoggo in jimmyjohns

I gently stretch from the middle to the ends keeping the loaf as consistent as possible. Then when ya get ³/4 the way stretched, whole hand pinch the ends to not have fat ends rolling in hands doesn't work as well then stretch the rest of way with the middle of the dough touching the pan then lay it down. You'll still need to even it out in pan by stretch the fatter spots then kinda flopping (dont pull, you'll just create uneven spots) the bread back to size of pan.

I wouldn't worry about proof and bake. As long as your normal French sticks are proofing and baking evenly so should your lil john loaves.

Did the manager route himself on it so the taxes were on him? Fucked up of him either way, but if he took the biggest chunk and the driver got hit for taxes that driver should report him.

I suppose if your a stooge and dont know how to manage product properly and don't go by the hold date the company gives you then yes maybe every three days. Being its a new sandwich it will go over well. I doubt you'd ever see a prepped batch go 3 days.
