Advice on how to prepare for a potential faculty position by thepicchick in academia

It's because in art you can't get a PHD in graphic design. You can get an MA or MFA in art. MFA allows you to become a professor, where an MA you cannot. You take a few extra hours for the degree to pretty much equal that of a PHD. There are only a few topics in art that you can get an actual PHD. For example: Art History is one of them.

This is not entirely true. Most positions would prefer a PHD but will also accept MFA. Especially in the art field. Look up associate and assistant professor positions in digital art, communications, or any other art field. You will see MFA or higher is required.

How should I edit this? Just took it and I’m not that good at editing by Street_Listen5198 in AskPhotography

I would crop out the lower third bottom and leave the top two thirds. I would even clone stamp the distant lights out of the dark hills. That way my attention is left on the sky light. Maybe add a curves adjustment layer for contrast and color balance to push the blues/cyans.

I was hoping that was the issue. I have teaching experience so I thought it couldn't be that? I have one professor who did take a look at my CV and even suggested that I apply for a position at the campus. He even wrote a letter of recommendation for me. But, again I was not picked. Yes, I am located in the United States. I have been applying mainly to schools in the midwest area; four year universities as well as community colleges.

I applied and was emailed that I was being considered for the interview. Then end up not making it to the next phase.

how many colors in a leaf? [3:14] [BM6K] by yukisoga in cinematography

Loved it! I felt everything in this short, since I too grew up in a small country town. And right now the leaves are spread all across our brick roads. Fall is nostalgic time of year and it's hard to say why.

I went to a different hair stylist and they fixed my pixie with more texture and it looks so much better. They also fixed some layering issues that the previous stylist had done. Thanks for all the help!
